Thank you for posting the winners of the contest so far and letting me know that there was a third part. I kept checking after I finished the second one but didn’t see anything. I will go check it out now.
Where is everyone? I am reading stuff on TB and watching E. They have an all day tribute ot Michael and Farrah. It is so strange; the thought that we all grew up with both of them pretty much. I wish I could have seen him in concert at least once. I hope you all are having a good day. be in off and on.
Hope you had a good weekend! After I don’t know how many months (gotta be since Xmas, if not longer), I finally decided to be a vegetable for a weekend and actually did it instead of guilting myself into doing something constructive. Very liberating – try it, you’ll like it.
C, if you’re still having computer troubles, I’ve got a spare laptop that’s not doing anything. It’s a bit long in the tooth, but still runs fine. I’d just need to clean it up a bit, scrounge up the software it came with and ship ‘er down to you. If you’re interested, just let me know either here or by email.
Well, back to the salt mines tomorrow, so I’d better get some sleep. Gotta try to jam 3 days of work into 2 so I can take Canada Day off on Wednesday. Have a good week!
For anyone who’s interested, I posted a poem at my space called SOn of mine. its a tribute to my Bruce who will be 26 next month. You can go to pokeyspride2002@myspace.com
Hope you all like it.
Well, I guess nothings working today, I thought It posted there but I couldn’t find it So I will post it here and you can tell me what you think.
Son of Mine:
“Oh son of mine that came to be, back in 1983; You gave your heart and sould complete which was an undying, blessed treat. The more you gave to one and all, through time and space unconditional. I miss the smiles you gave to me the laughter so hearty and carefree. To hear you calling out to me “Mom” I hear nightly in my dreams. “Oh precious one I miss you so that paryt of me no longer glows; The light that faded one summer day took that love so far away; the pain though great has been one year; but now losing you I no longer fear. You are an angel up on high the songs you sing still make my cry; I will never forget that part of me, that brought so much joy for the world to see.
I have no idea what is going on with the icons….all I did with those was change the type for people who don’t have one. And have not touched that today.
Hope everyone had a great day. I took today off to celebrate Canada Day (for a change, I usually end up working)and had a great day wandering around our local historic village with my aunt. Having a holiday mid-week totally screws me up – I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Friday and I’m sure I’m gonna have a heck of a time hauling myself out of bed tomorrow ’cause I’ll be thinking it’s supposed to be Sunday.
Hey Pokey, good luck with your new term tomorrow! I know you’re gonna do great!
Well, better hit the sack. Back to the salt mines in the morning and walking for the better part of 5 hours is really exhausing when you’re out of shape and wear the wrong shoes (shoulda rethunk wearing flip flops this morning). Have a great evening!
How’s it going? How was your 4th? Mine was kinda quiet. I invited loads of people over for BBQ and two people showed, one being my son Quinton. Go figure, I am not used to people who pass on free food! Then I went to the bar, sang karaokee and drank three pitchers of beer and still went home alone. (Damn!) well, I guess that’s all for now hope all of you are ok, no ones been here much lately, Hank, read the update on the story and I’m getting intrigued.
Hope those of you in the US had a good 4th of July weekend. Pokey, I can’t believe only two people took you up on free food! If it had been me, you’d have had trouble getting rid of me. Sounds like you had a good evening afterward, though, you rowdy girl
Wonderful new chapter, Hank. Looking forward to what comes next.
Back to the salt mines tomorrow, so I’d better hit the sack. Have a good evening!
I am not that rowdy! I would love to be rowdy with Henry in a heartbeat though!! HInt, HInt! Hope there are no children or virgin ears out there (Sorry)! Where is everyone?
Thanks rogue…..I was hoping to have the next one up by now but there are some things keeping me pretty occupied. I hope I’ll get it up in a day or two.
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. The Fearless Leader is on holidays and I’m going nuts trying get caught up before he gets back on Monday and get ahead of things so I can go on holidays the week after and not come back to a mountain of paper.
Gotta run so I can get into work early, so have a great day!
How are all of you? Tomorrow is my Bruce’s 26th birthday and I baked him a cake and I will be going out to the bar tonight to party and to the cemetary in the morning to sing to him. He would have had so much fun and I know he is up there partying with Micheal Jackson. He is the lucky one!
Where is everyone? Well Bruce’s birthday wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be; I ended up with quite a few people around me so it wasn’t too bad. I have pics but for some reason my USB drive stopped working, now I have to figure out whats wrong with it and then I can send some here for you all to see. Have a good day!
Hope you’ve all had a good day – I’m still running around liek a one-armed paper hanger trying to get things done before I go on holidays (3 days and counting).
Pokey, I’m glad your day yesterday wasn’t what you had expected it to be. I figured you might have a rough time, but I’m glad it wasn’t.
Well, this will be another drive by hi. I overslept my alarm by half an hour this morning and then fell asleep on my desk at lunch, so I’d better get some shut eye while I’ve got the chance. Have a great evening!
I go in this morning and have a biopsy done on my spleen; its enlarged and I have been having a few issues with my stomach so they want a closer look. I’m sure it’s nothing major but will keep you all posted. Have a good day.
Ever noticed how the world is a much better place on the first day of holidays than it was the last day of work? I’m just about to head off to see my grandparents for a few days, so I figured I stop in and say hi.
Pokey, I hope your biopsy went well and you get your health issues sorted out without a lot of hassle. How’s the homework going, by the way? Have you been snowed under with it again this term?
it seems that hit and run hi’s are all I can get out these days. I’d better get on the road before the serious traffic does. Have a great day and I’ll drop in again when I get home.
No, the homework has been pretty easy on me this term thank GOD! I am supposed to call today to see if any of the results came back I’m praying that its not a lymphoma, the thought of any kind of cancer scares the hell out of me! Well I will talk to you soon, enjoy your time with your grandparents.
Hi Mary, I’m fine, thanks. How you doing? Thanks for your review, hope I haven’t made you take up smoking??
If you and Rogue would like to see the drawings I made of the characters, drop me you email addy and I’ll send them but I warn you a couple of them could possibly be marked adults only……lol
I’m good, as far as not smoking! thank you. My E-mail addy is above, pokeyspride2002@yahoo.com I am on there several times a day; and yes I am very interested in seeing your pics. “Please”
Sorry I haven’t been here in awhile. We finally got moved into a new house and two weeks later Dad passed away. We took him back to Boise so he could be buried next to Mom. He was 87 and the last week he just failed real fast. Hospice came in the last few days and were a true blessing, if you ever find that you need them don’t hesitate.
Things are starting to settle into a routine now so hopefully I’ll be here more often. Hugs to everyone….and IJAG you are doing a great job.
How’s it going? I am still here. Sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine when I was 12 so I know alittle about it. Mine had a heart attack. How is the writing coming? any thing new yet? I’m still on TB everyday. Hope you and family are well. I have missed you very much. Nice to see you back.
Hi everyone, Pokey I loved the Poem, it was very touching.
Hi to all hope everyone is well, I’m running crazy as usual but I wanted to stop in and say hi. I have been enjoying my BT DVD. I ll stop in later.
- Tweety
Got back from my grandparent’s place about an hour ago. Woulda been here sooner, but I had to call Gram & Gramp as well as my mom to tell them I made it home in one piece before someone started wigging out (Mother babbles worse than I do).
So many of the MIA are back, it’s great! Very sorry to hear about your dad, Marty, but glad you’re getting settled in your new place. Looking forward to seeing more of you.
Took a quick look at the article you left the link for, Thea – that’s my next stop so I can take 7 hours worth of traffic frustration out on someone who really deserves it. It would be fabulous if you could send me your illustrations. It’s always interesting to find out how differently people’s imaginations ‘populate’ stories in comparison to how I do. My email address is xrogue@telus.net.
Hey Pokey, glad you haven’t been snowed under by homework this term – I know you went through the mill with it last term. How’d your test results go, by the way? Nothing bad, I hope.
Hank, I’ve gotta second Marty’s comment, you’re doing a great job! I’ve got a quick question, though – Any chance of a hint or two (or three) on the puzzle? I’m up to 33 words, but have been stuck for a while .
OK, obviously I shouldn’t be cut off from my internet connection for this long again – I babble more than usual. I’m off to leave my two bits worth for Andrea Wong and the Network That Shall Not Be Named and then will hit TB (I’ve gone past withdrawal shakes, Thea, I’m up to uncontrollable tremors now). Have a great evening everyone!
some are epsiode titles, but they can overlap….wild blood also becomes blood price. I lost the answer key so as soon as I figure out some of what else is in the puzzle I’ll let you know.
Thanks, Hank, I really appreciate it. Found 3 more while I was wasting time this morning. Who knows, if you wait long enough I may figure the out all by myself – odds are you’ll probably be collecting a pension by that time, though
Thank you Tweety, Rogue, I won’t get my results until tomorrow I will let you all know how they turn out! Could use lots of prayers right now! I am scared to death!!
well the verdict is in; I was diagnosed with CLL,(Chronic,Lymphocytic Leukemia) Its not aggresive; its been living inside me for a long time. and was first found in 2008 when I had that problem with my thyroid, thats why I had to have part of my thyroid taken out. They didn’t tell me about it then, She said all we do for now is keep an eye on it that its lying dormant and as long as it stays that way I have nothing to worry about. “Whew” I dodged a bullet with that one huh! talk to you all soon take care Mary.
I’m so glad you got good news, Pokey. I’m sure the waiting has been driving you nuts.
I’m on holidays until August 4th, but I had a surprisingly productive day. I got a bunch of furniture and a bookcase moved before noon that I thought would take all day. I’ve also been planning on cleaning out my basement and got most of the junk sorted out and packed up so all I have to do now is talk my dad into giving me a hand loading it into the truck
Sorry, got carried away again. Hopefully it won’t take long for me to quit babbling like an idiot. Have a great evening everyone!
Hi Tanya, welcome! Interesting you should mention Defying Gravity – I just read an article about it featuring Christina. I had to chuckle a bit when they reeled off the actors playing the astronauts and put their most identifiable work in brackets – Blood Ties was what they put in for Christina. I really hope this series goes well for her, but to be completely honest I’d give my right arm to see her in new episodes of Blood Ties.
Have a great day, folks. Gotta get laundry done and the bathroom cleaned.
Not sure if it’s been announced it or not, but the second half of Blood Ties is available for pre-order on both the US and Canadian Amazon websites as well as on the Chapters website in Canada.
Hope you had a good weekend. I’m still on holidays, but have been strangely productive since getting back from seeing my grandparents. I’ve had cable installed in a couple of bedrooms, cleaned out my basement and am just finishing up moving all the furniture out of my living room so I can clean the carpets and upholstery. If I had thought I was gonna work this hard, I would have taken another week for the holiday part of my holidays
How’s school going for you Pokey? Am I correct in thinking you’re about half way through this term?
Well, gotta hit the sack. My dad’s gonna be here early in the morning to give me a hand hauling all the crap in my basement to the dump. Have a great evening everyone!
yes, your right! mideterms start this week. hope you don’t get to snowed under with housework. I would help you if I could. Try to enjoy as much of your vacation as possible. It may be a while before the next one.
Good luck with your midterms, I know you’ll do great. Do you get more than a week off between this and your next term? Don’t want to burn yourself out.
Once I get my carpets done, that’s it for my big ‘projects’ – I’m gonna be a vegetable for the rest of my holidays. It’ll probably be a while before I get to do what I want with my days again – depending on how busy things are I might take the week between Christmas and New Years off, but other than that, I’ll be waiting for this time next year. I really need to win the lottery, this working for a living thing is for the birds.
Well, gotta run, Dad will be here soon and I should start dragging junk upstairs and loading the truck. Have a great day!
where is everyone? no one is coming around. I hate that this place has become kind of like a ghost site. I miss all my homies! I wonder where they are and what they are doing! I’m still here as much as I can be and keeping the site alive I hope! I miss all of you, Thea, LD, rogue, Hank, chrissy, Marty, how are all of you?
I’m still around. I cleaned my carpets on Tuesday and it completely whiped me out – my arms are still stiff and and my fingers are still a bit swolen from dragging the carpet cleaner around. It’s hell to get old and not be able to abuse yourself and bounce back good as new the next day.
You’re right about things slowing down around here, but it seems to be happening at TB as well. I’m hoping it’s just summer holidays keeping people off the computer, but it would be nice to hear from everyone again.
How are your midterms going, by the way? I don’t remember how many courses you were taking this term – will you get through all the exams this week or will you have more to write next week?
Sorry, to quickly drop in and run. I’ve gotta be up early so I can get my invoicing done. Have a good evening!
glad to see you here! I agree with the TB decrease in story updates as well. I’m ok, had my endoscopy this morning. and everything checked out ok It must just be from the bronchitis I have. oh well’ Don’t work too hard sweetie ok! talk to you soon still kind of sleepy from sedative.
It’s midnight and I’m still at work and have been since 9 am. Pressure of work has prevented me from updating on TB – sorry, sometimes real life gets in the way.
Hope you’re feeling better soon Mary.
Speak to you guys soon. Got an hours drive when I finally get out of here.
Oh, Thea! Still working at midnight? You’re either really dedicated or borderline nuts! I hope things slow down for you soon, we don’t want you burnt out. Be careful driving home!
Hey Pokey, didn’t realize you were going in for an endoscopy today. Hope you’re feeling better and you get rid of that bronchitis.
Gonna wander over to TB and see if anything new has been posted. Have a great evening all!
Endoscopy went well, had a small narrowing of the esophogus but not enough that it had to be opened up with a balloon. I don’t know what he did yesterday but I swallowing alot better now. Oh Thea, I hope you are ok driving home that late at night. “PLease” be careful.an hour! “WOW” make sure your alert sweetie, we love you
Just finished watching the premier of Christina’s new show – Defying Gravity. The network wasn’t kidding when they billed it as “Grey’s Anatomy in space”. It does have a bit of a mystery going on though, so I’ll probably watch a couple more episodes to see if it’s worth spending my Sunday nights on. Christina didn’t get a whack of screen time and, thankfully, her character isn’t a complete flake. I’m very glad she’s back on the air, but I have to admit I spent the entire show waiting for a smartass Vicki-like wise crack.
Have a good evening all, I’m headed over to TB to see if anything new has been posted.
I watched it too. I thought it was good even though I missed Kyle and Dylan not being with her. The preview for next week had me going Huh! I wonder if she actually ends up doing that other dude. I hope not, Her husband is keeping an eye on her, wouldn’t that be very wrong and hateful on her part? I will tune in sunday to see what happens.
Hope you’ve had a good week. Been stupid crazy at work trying to catch up from my holidays. Starting to wonder why I took the time off in the first place.
The first two episodes of Defying Gravity were on on again this evening and I’m still up in the air abut whether it’s worth watching on a regular basis. I suspect I will probably keep watching it simply because there’s not much of anything else on although I can’t see myself getting as obsessed about it as Blood Ties. Slightly different preview this time than on Sunday night, Pokey. They skipped any intimation of smut. As much as you wish what was hinted at in the Sunday preview won’t happen, chances are it probably will, cause what network is gonna give up the opportunity to create ‘conflict’.
OK, must be really tired, babbling aimlessly again so I’d better get some sleep tonight. Pokey, it seems that virus warning was a dud. Although sometimes there’s something to be said for paranoia. Have a great evening!
Unless they changed the first preview It shows her kissing this affican american dude and they make it look like they are about to get some action and her husband says something about her cheating on him. I don’t know what they have planned but I will be watching I hope she doesn’t make out with that guy! It would ruin everything.
A quick drive-by hi before I head back to the salt mines. Hope everyone’s enjoying their summer. I think ours is going to be pretty short – spring was about 2 weeks later than normal and we haven’t had any really hot weather yet.
So, Pokey, what did you think of last nights episode of DG? No ‘on the mission’ smut, but it looks like Jen and Ted had a thing going during training. I’d think it might be a bit difficult to have an affair with your husband (and a hundred other people) watching your every move on video, but that’ll probably change once they get to Venus.
no, I was talking about the affair she is supposed to have with the other guy not her husband. Its supposedly got something to do with an alien subject that interferes with their personalities. Go figure! The pilot episode I loved even though I hate the the thought of them being gone from their loved ones for six years, that would really suck. Oh” and I am rooting for Zoe and whats his face to get together. what are you hoping?
Hey Pokey, how goes it? Starting to look like it’s just you and me these days. Got a quick question for you – Tanya Huff is going to be here for a con in a couple weeks. Do you think it would be worth the time to go?
Hmmm, Zoe and Donner, not sure about that one. Maybe it’s just me, but Zoe seems like a bit of a flake and I find that really irritating. So far, I’ve spent half of each episode wanting to smack her across the back of the head and tell her to get a grip. As for the other characters, I haven’t quite made up my mind who should be with whom. Gotta get in a few more episodes to get a better feel for personalities. Interesting conversation when Rollie effectively told Ted hands off Jen then turned around and asked him to take care of her, though. If something does happen between Ted and Jen, how PO’d will Rollie be and will he stay PO’d until the mission ends?
Babbling like an idiot means I’ve gotta get to bed. Have a great evening!
I know, I think Zoe is a tease! and I’d like to smack her once myself. and if Jen messes around on Rollie, be it with Ted or anyone else, she needs to be slapped too. Or taken down a peg or two by our fav vamp what do you say! I am still warming up to the others too but it is interesting where this is gonna go. I don’t mind the one on one conversation, but I do miss everyone else, how about you? I have class this morning so I hope you have a good day, and if you find any of our stragglers give them a shout for me too ok? Love ya!
I’m in and out too.
Can’t comment on DG as it hasn’t made it over here, yet. Will decide whether to look out for it, when you guys decide whether it get a YAY or a NAY.
Hope you’re all good.
I am so glad there are more poping in! Thea, I give the show a yay! even though there has only been the pilot and the the following episode. She has a good start, and I hope that the show does well enough to stick around. I am getting ready to go check TB and see if any updates are available; hey thea, how’s LD? tell him I send a shout his way! have a great day all , rogue, don’t work too hard ok!
LD is just fine thanks. He’s booking concert tickets like crazy and costing me a bloody fortune! He’s going to see Devil Driver and Hollywood Undead in the fall.
Missed you guys the last couple days – my machine was trying to cough up on me Wednesday night and I had to be out of the house last night. Makes you wonder about my mental stability when I can’t go a couple days without dropping in to see what’s going on here or for my BT fic fix.
Just dropped in quickly to say hi. I slept through my alarm, so I’d better get going (good thing the Fearless Leader is on holidays, so I can fudge getting in on time a little bit). Have a great day!
I am battling the flea population; my poor cats don’t know whether they are coming or going half the time. I have to make an appointment for them this week at Petco, the vet wanted to charge $400 to take care of them. I can’t afford that so Right now, I have spray I bought over the counter I’ve been using on them and gave them a flea bath today, then doused the carpets in flea powder and sprayed the furniture and vaccumed. This week I have to set foggers off. Man what a job. I am so tired! help!
Hope you’ve all had a good weekend. We’ve gone through the second straight weekend of rain. Summer seems to have skipped Calgary this year.
I feel for you Pokey. Keeping your kitties from going nuts has gotta be exhausting and the thought of having to give them a bath brings back flashbacks of sitting on my trike in the middle of a mud puddle with a sopping wet kitten in each hand clawing the crap out of my arms. It made complete sense when I was 3, but not so much now.
Well, just have enough time to quickly jump in the tub before Defying Gravity starts. Have a great evening everyone!
watched DG last night and the episode was awesome,Poor donner, I felt so bad for him. It is going between raining and hot and hummid temps here.Quinton went to sixflags this past weekend and is coming home tonight. I have to get ready for his birthday this sunday, he’ll be 29. hard to believe my 1st born is almost 30.
Yup, DG is starting to grow on me, although I figured it’d take Donner a bit longer to start wigging out. Maybe Jen will be the one to keep all her marbles. I’ll be interested to see if ABC renews it, though. I’ve been looking at the fall and winter primtime schedules and it doesn’t look like ABC has DG anywhere on its schedule.
Hope Quinton has a great birthday. I know you’ll spoil him
Overslept this morning again, so I better get to bed. Have a good evening!
It has grown on me too, I have to tune in every sunday to see whats gonna happen. I feel bad for Donner but he and Zoe need to hook up I don’t like that other woman that is trying to get him, I can’t remember her name. I know, if they can keep her from having space sex Jen should be fine! It could be space sex with Rollie, that I could live with.I have a dr. appointment this morning so I will be back later.
How’d your doctor appointment go yesterday? Sorry I didn’t drop by last night – ended up bringing work home and had my nose stuck in it until 10:30 (I’m no where near as dedicated as Thea is ).
Sorry to say hi and run, gotta try to get a couple loads of laundry done before I leave for work. Have a great day!
I ended up having to go and get a CT of my neck cause he wanted to see what my thyroids doing! I meet with him again in the 2nd of sept. to get results. Have fun with your laundry I will have a ton of it after I bombfor fleas tomorrow. Check in soon, have a great day!
Still around. I’ve slowed WAY down on writing about BT. The burning passion for Blood ties is still there but new stories that I’ve started writing aren’t moving forward as fast as they did. It makes me sad to watch the DVDs of the show knowing that there will never be any new ones and I’ve quit watching TV because I won’t ever become this enchanted with anything that some one else has control over. I’ve gotten hooked on comupter games, reading and my crafts.
I’ll still lurk from time to time, but the obsessive need for anything Blood Ties or Vampire has gone.
Kyle Schmid’s Henry Fitzroy is the only vampire for me. I don’t want or need anyone to replace him as my dream vampire.
Hope you are all having a good summer.
“Please” don’t drift too far away, all of your friends here still love and miss you! also, I never tire of reading anyones stories. you are all so talented, “Wow” I agree 110% on the only dream Vampire being Henry! There is just something so different about him compared to the others that shines and calls out to us! I for one will always love him and Kyle too for giving him to us. I really enjoy reading everyones stories and Everytime I go to TB I am anxious for more! so please keep writing and coming by to visit we will be here or I know for a fact that I will.
Hey SM! Glad you’re still stopping by, we miss you I read the new chapter you posted on FanFiction, it’s great stuff! I can relate to the bummed out feeling watching the DVDs, I get it too and there’s nothing on TV (or anywhere else, for that matter) that comes remotely close to what BT was. The only thing I try to make a point of watching anymore (and I don’t necessarily really try)is Defying Gravity and that’s really just to see Christina’s work.
So, Pokey, how’d the ‘bombing’ go? Hopefully your kitties have quit scratching and you didn’t wipe yourself out doing laundry. By the way, how’s school coming? You’ve gotta be close to writing your finals for this term or did I miss that (which wouldn’t be surprising considering how much time I spend in my own personal little universe)?
Well, I guess I’d better get a move on and get something done before the little motivation I’ve got goes completely out the window. Have a great day everyone!
You are right rogue, this is the last week of the term for homework and then I get a break for a week and a half, Kitties are fine, and bombing was a success; needless to say, I have to repeat it in two weeks. just to be on the safe side. I am looking forward to reading your projects, Annonymous will they be on TB? Thats where I do the majority of my reading. Saw “Inglourious Basterds” today, it was awesome! well till later have a great day all.
Just poking my head in to see if there’s still life here Glad your bombing went well, Pokey.
Thea, I hear you haven’t been well, I hope you’re feeling better.
Work has been panic central trying to get two year ends ready for the auditor and the Fearless Leader sorted out and ready to ship to Aus on Saturday, but other than that nothing really earthshattering happening around here, so I guess I’ll toddle on. Have a great day!
Hi everyone, checking in to let you know I’m still here.
Been watching Defying Gravity and it is a great show. Not Blood Ties but then again nothing is.
Christina again does a strong, independent female. You know the kind that Lifetime hates.
Hi everyone. Just doing a quick drive-by to let you know I’m still around too.
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, it was only a bladder infection, but they’re not the most comfortable things to have and tend to be rather er “distracting”.
I completely understand everyone’s feelings about no other TV shows measuring up to BT. They’ve now started showing Trueblood over here, so I can see what everyone has been talking about. Can’t get into it, don’t like the vampires much and the lead just does NOT do it for me. Imagine what could have been if BT got half the support and promotion that’s had.
I’ve also tried watching the re-runs of Moonlight, but I’m not enjoying that much second time around.
Other than that, I’ve given up on TV and spend my time writing.
BTF! Wonderful to hear from you! Hope you and yours have been well. Don’t be such a stranger
Very glad to hear you’re feeling better Thea. Can’t have one of my favourite writers unable to feed my addiction About Defying Gravity – bittorents are the answer. Download each episode pretty much the day after it’s broadcast in North America.
It’s kinda depressing seeing all the attention that True Blood, Twilight and, now, the Vampire Diaries are getting that BT should have had. Bill Compton is SO not Henry Fitzroy, is he? Having said that, the first season of True Blood isn’t too bad if you can focus on the murder mystery and ignore the extraneous BS going on around it. The second season, though, just seems to be getting more ludicrous with each episode – there’s nothing holding any of the story lines together and none of them seem to be going anywhere. I’m getting dangerously close to packing it in because it’s getting plain, old stupid. I’m almost glad I’m too cheap to spring for the extra cable channel that Vampire Diaries is going to be on. I’m with you guys, my TV does more dust collecting than anything anymore.
OK, babbled way too much again and gotta get a move on – dentist appointment before work this morning. Oh joy. Have a great day everyone!
BTF, long time no hear! ha’ I agree with rogue on True Blood, I watched the first three episodes and gave it up cause 1, Bill is and never will be as inviting as Henry, and 2. that girl just kept running around half dressed asking for a vamp to attack her. Moonlight, I was never interested in trying just from the previews, and I will give Vampire Diaries a try, it does look interesting, DG is awesome, I can hardly wait until season 2. Christina does a sensational job, I just hope that they don’t end up putting she and Ted together, that would ruin it for me. She actually acts not only strong, but more like a woman without the walls up around her all the time. I have to get ready and get started on a power point for one of my classes so I will be working on that most of the day, Yes, rogue, the bombing went well but you can tell its almost time for the second round they are slowly starting to reappear. Well, I guess thats all for now, BTF, whatever you are writing, please post to TB so I can read it ok, I miss you! I will see you all later. much love!
My TV has been collecting dust all summer. I’ve cancelled cable and just get the basic channels – Sundays I turn it on for Defying Gravity and it has been holding my attention – but the voice overs and flashbacks are down right annoying. I love good SiFi, but there is a lot lacking in the technical part of the show – Very poor science -the bar is so 20th century – and the space ship has way too much wasted space – OK, it’s only 12 episodes long – but they could have done a lot better with the sets.
Christina is the best part of the show!!!!
I agree but he is probably seeking some fresh blood somewhere knowing him and that sexy smile! Hi sm, glad to see you checking in who knows he might be out on the town with Mike too! hard to say!
I agree about the flashbacks, but I sort of like the voice over. It helps me to focus on what the moral of the story is that week. Think the show has real potential, but they need to give it a better time slot or at least a better lead in. Christina is the best part, although Ron Livingston is cute. And it’s nice to see “Tractor Guy” again from Men in Trees doing Rollie. The blonde Zoe and the German chick get on my nerves. Get a kick out of Wass though, so much like the guys I grew up with.
Haven’t been writing much since Dad was so bad, just editing book to get it ready to send to agents etc. Will try to get back to finishing stuff on TB soon. Nice to know I’ve been missed. Hugs
See, I’m the other way around. I find the voice overs a bit annoying, but I kinda like the flashbacks – they give some context to the way the characters behave. Although, having said that, you do have to pay attention to what’s going and realize that you don’t get any warning when the switch back and forth or you get really confused.
I have the same reaction to Zoe and Nadia that you do, BTF. Zoe’s just a little too flakey for me and Nadia’s just tacky. So far, I’m really enjoying Christina’s character. She’s kinda like ‘Vicki Lite’ all of the smarts and toughness without all the emotional issues and baggage. I loved her reaction to the fight she and Rollie had last episode.
I’ll be interested to see if ABC keeps DG in the lineup. The ratings haven’t been spectacular and I’ve already seen speculation that they won’t order any more than the 13 episodes they’ve already got. In Canada, we get it on 2 channels – CTV and Space (CTV’s cable sci-fi channel). Space is running DG early Friday evenings and mid-morning on Saturday. CTV had been running it on Sunday nights, but announced last week they were moving it to later in the evening on Fridays. The fact that its getting moved around says to me something’s up and at least CTV is trying to find a place for DG. If the speculation from the US is true and unless they just want it to die, ABC can’t be too much longer finding a different time slot as well.
Gotta learn to do this in the evening when I won’t be late for work (again). Have a great day all!
BTF, You will always be missed here! I miss all of you when you aren’t around. your all like my brother(Hank) and sisters; and I am sad when you are not here, I also miss Chrissy tons, along with Huntress, Cylver, and many others. I wish we could go back to when everyone else was still here I miss that most of all. I checked ABC.com after the season fanale and it wasn’t in the fall lineup so I’m thinking that they are trying to find a different spot or its just gonna be a summer filler.I love Jen and Rollie together it would be kind of nice if she were to end up pregnant after the sexual encounter she and rollie had on the ship before they left. Remember when they were floating naked in the ship. Why couldn’t that happen for she and Henry on BT. (Damn!) oh well! love you all have a great day, and BTF, GOOD luck on your book let us know if you get it out on the market so that we can buy it.
Just dropping by to say hi. Thunderstorms in the area are starting to kick up again so I won’t be on long.
Did you hear that A&E’s group has purchased Lifetime? They are keeping Wong where she’s at for now, but my guess is not for long. Anytime this happens they replace the brass, and face it, hers are cast iron……
Hope Defying Gravity, if it does go off the air, at least has a better ending than BT did….our no ending, ending, really (if you’ll pardon the expression) sucked….
Been gone a long while.. but been busy this summer. Things seem to be winding down some now so hoping to have more time to check in with everyone. Hope you all have been well, had a wonderful summer too.
I’m still stuck with dial up so things computer wise are moving slowly… and driving me nuts! Haven’t watched a BT video in three months now and I’m really suffering withdrawals. haha
sm, glad you got your pic,I’m sure it is awesome and he is hopefully in full living color, or a very sexy up close B&W. BTF, Glad to hear about A&E’s purchase, lets hope it makes a difference, and maybe one of these days one of them would be willing to do a BT movie putting H&V together at last, or finish the series properly that would be a dream come true. Raven, We have missed you so much around here, how have you been, hopefully we will be seeing you more often around here now. Well gonna go check TB for updates later!
Hope you’re all having a great weekend. Finally got the Fearless Leader shipped to Aus yesterday, so I shouldn’t be quite so frantic next week.
Raven! It’s wonderful to hear from you again! We’ve missed you! I think most everyone’s been pretty busy this summer, I know I have. As soon as you get your computer ‘up to speed’, we’ll have to have a BT marathon or something.
Aww, sm, the jealousy is starting to creep up on me. I don’t suppose you’d mind staring at your picture for me for a while would you?
I had to chuckle to myself when I saw that A&E had taken over Lifetime, BTF. Personally, if I had been the one doing the taking over, I would have given Andrea Wong the boot the minute the ink was dry on the deal and she’d still have the footprint on her butt to prove it, but I imagine that wouldn’t be realistically practical. I guess time will tell how long she lasts. It does give the rumors I’ve been hearing about someone (thought I don’t know who) talking about doing a BT movie a different spin, though.
Hey Pokey, the plot on DG thickens tonight! The upside of CTV moving it to another day and time is that I get to see the new ep’s 2 days before you guys south of the border. The downside is I can’t blab and spoil it for you. Anyway, lets just say by the end, I think Jen is coming close to getting herself into some fairly big trouble (but not the type you’re thinking of) unless she starts using the smarts that she’s obviously got.
Have a great Sunday, everyone. I’m off to soak up the sun and enjoy the last dregs of our very short summer.
You have got to give me more of a hint on what angle they are talking about using, if a movie is done what type of spin? and on the DG home front, I will be tuning in tonight and if you get spoilers “Please” indulge me alittle, I don’t mind knowing some things up front. Have fun in the sun!
Looks like Desp. Hous. will be coming back on Sunday nights in a few weeks. Hope it gives DG the boost it needs to draw more viewers. I see trouble for Jen (Christine) if she doesn’t do something about Rufus. It’s definately gonna bite her in the ass one way or the other.
Weather here is starting to finally cool down a little bit and not as humid…think the worst is behind us for another summer. Even seeing some yellow leaves pop out on the tops of the trees now.
Gonna get a chance to see my sister and Holly and Becky in just three weeks. Leave here on the train the 17, at 6 am. Gonna spend train time reading and watching BT and DG on IPod. Don’t know if I’ll have access to a computer so may not be on that week. I’ll be thinking of ya’ll though.
I wish I could Take a ride on that train with you! I have always wanted to ride a train long distance. As far as DG, she got into trouble with Ted because of the secret she kept and I see her struggling over the issue with Ted and Rollie, I hope she doesn’t betray rollie, I hate DH; as far as I’m concerned they can cancel that and put DG in its slot. I can also see the issue with Zoe’s miscarriage coming back to bite her as well, Poor Donner! I know how he feels with the blood issue I can tolerate it to a point but and overwhelming lot of it makes me sick! that is why I’m gonna see H2 but not The final destination, I can’t take that stuff 3D. Have fun on your trip and look forward to hearing about it.
Yup, Jen’s gonna get busted about Rufus sooner or later (I’m betting sooner). I think she’s got a point, though, even on a strictly philosophical level. Sure you can turn off someone’s libido, but you can’t stop them from getting lonely. Kinda surprised the shrinks didn’t appear to think about that one. Sorry to say it, Pokey, but I expect at some point Jen’s gonna busy with someone, but it won’t be without trying to avoid it. They’ve also made so much of Zoe’s pregnancy so far that you’ve gotta know Donner’s bound to find out. I’m looking forward to the next ep and how Paula’s going to react to Wass once she wakes up. We’ve also gotta be getting close to finding out what Beta is.
Hope you enjoy your trip, BTF. Glad the worst of your summer heat is over, although I wouldn’t have minded if you had sent some of it up here. The last week or so hasn’t been bad, but that’s about all we’ve had for summer weather up here. It’s supposed to be in the upper 20’sC the next few days, then we lose about 10 degrees pretty much overnight the beginning of next week. I really hope winter isn’t as long and cold as it was last year – I’m getting too old for that kinda crap.
Well, gotta run. Gotta get stuff done while I’ve got the chance – I’m quite sure the Fearless Leader is gonna dump on me when he gets back from Aus next week. Have a great day everyone!
I knew it would be too good to be true as far as her staying celebut toward Rollie. Now why couldn’t they make Vicky more like that with Henry, can you imagine the steam’ “whew” I would want to on a big movie screen thats for sure.” I found out yesterday that the other half of my thyroid has to come out as well, it is enlarged and pushing my esophogus thats what is making it hard for me to swallow food properly. They will be doing the surgery on Oct 6; its just an overnight thing so I will go home the next day, hope you have a good day see you later today.
Hi all Tweety Here…how have you all been, Im good, I have a job at an animal hospital now and I love it – So I have been busy at work. But Still watching BT on my dvd and can’t wait til The thaw comes out. Now that I am also taking classes at purdue I have wireless interned and my own PC so hubby and I don’t have to fight over the internet, so now I can be on here more often…ya’ll take care!
We have missed you around here; Glad to hear you are going To purdue and will be around more. I just finished my second bachelors term and earned an A in Organizational behavior and a B in Research and presentation. The new term starts 9/16. If anyone is interested, That new Halloween 2 is brutal if you like that kind of thing you should definitely check it out. I loved it. Well gonna go make dinner. Lots of love to the family, I’m all for a BT movie if they decide to make one, I hope they get the actors from the show.
Someday I’m gonna learn to do my accounting on a daily basis instead of trying to jam it all into 1 evening. Way too much work after working all day.
Pokey, I didn’t realize you weren’t well I hope your surgery goes well. Glad to hear how well school went this term, though. Congrats!
Congrats to you too, Tweety! It’s so much easier to go to work every day when you enjoy what you’re doing. Going to school too, we’re gonna have such a smart bunch around here soon, I’m gonna be too dumb to hang out anymore That BT movie stuff is, as yet, unconfirmed and extremely speculative rumor, so you should probably take it with a grain of salt. It is nice to dream, though, isn’t it?
Gonna make a quick pit stop at TB then hit the sack. Have a great evening everyone!
you are one of the smartest people here and don’t ever forget that. We love you now and always will no matter how much education we get! Yes it is nice to dream, and I am not keeping my fingers crossed but I can pray!! Chrissy where are you? I miss you dear!
Glad to see you’re still here, I was starting to wonder what happened to you.
Pictures…let’s see… We’ve had a number of our intrepid stars (eye candy is a wonderful thing), what about one of the supporting characters – Dr. Mohadevan, Dave, Coreen or Dr. Sagara?
By the way, I seem to remember a while ago, you had asked for suggestions about fic authors to ‘interview’. Why not you? Seems the vast majority of BT fan fic writers I read are women and I’d be interested to know how and why a guy would get into it.
So, Pokey, the plot thickens on the next ep of DG, but they’re still taking their sweet time getting to anything really juicy. Something is going on with Beta and the whole crew, except Jen and Wassenfelder (of all people), are affected. Not gonna say any more – don’t want to really spoil it for you Better watch tomorrow, though (Jen’s got a line about a vampire that made me chuckle at the irony).
Have a great day all. Working on day 2 of a migraine and the screen is a bit bright to stare at for an extended period. Gonna crawl under the nearest rock and hope it goes away soon.
Personally I’d like to see something romantic between Henry and Vicki, after all it was their interaction that made the show so special (at least for me. Christina Cox’s character is what’s making DG interesting for me. She has a way of bring her character to life that is missing from most of the actors on the show.
Hank!! nice to see you back here buddy, can’t wait for your next update over at TB. Rogue, how are you getting these spoilers? I am excited about hearing her vampire line; Hope your migrane goes away soon, My thoughts are with you hon, sm, I’m with you, I would love a little onscreen maybe big screen lovin between Vicki and Henry, I fee the same way.Yes, I also am thinking on the same level as far as Jen on DG, I Doubt I would be watching it if she wasn’t on there! later ya’ll! Love and Hugs!!!!
Thanks for the thoughts, Pokey. Migraine is down to an annoying pounding rather than feeling like someone wailing on my noodle with a sledge hammer.
CTV moved DG to Friday nights a week ago, so I get to see new episodes a couple days before they air in the US (every once in a while there is an upside to being Canadian). Like you and sm, I spend the episodes waiting for the little snippets we get of Jen and probably wouldn’t watch much (or at all) if Christina wasn’t in the cast.
Sm, great new story! Pokey, you’ve gotta check this one out on sm’s LJ page, you’ll really like it.
After 2 days of doing nothing, I better get moving and get something constructive done before the weekend is over. Have a great day, everyone!
Hi all Thanks Pokey and Xrogue for the well wishes – Now that I’m getting back into the fun part of my life What is DG – I have to get back in the now…lol Can’t wait for Dexter to begin again… Did any of you watch True blood???? Just wondering if it was good? I see it’s out on DVD the first season. Kyle has almost ruined the whole Vampire thing for me because I don’t think I’ll ever find another vampire as sexy as Henry, and I always find myself compairing all actors to Kyle, as far as im concerned, hands down he played the best vampire role. Anyway, hope you all have a great holiday weekend.
Thank you Xrogue, I’m glad you like the story. I hear the word Vampire and I see Kyle’s Henry. I’m spoiled – plus now that I don’t get cable – if the vampire show is not on the major networks I don’t get to see it. I’m too cheap to buy the DVDs of anything but Blood Ties. I guess I’m a one vampire woman.
I will go check it out, I wish I could come visit your country sometime, I went to visit Bruce today, and Quinton and I talked about living our lives for Bruce, when he asked me where I would like to visit, I said Toronto, and vancouver. I think it would be awesome. Tweety, DG is Defying Gravity, with Christina Cox; she plays and astronaunt. You have got to start watching it. she plays a great role, and it airs on ABC here in the US on Sunday nights at 9pm. Sm, I am a one vamp woman as well and its our beloved royal prince. He stole my heart and will forever have it; as far as True blood, I saw the first two episodes and hated it because of Sookie’s prostitute ways and thats putting it mildly. Blood Ties rules now and forever! I will be giving vampire diaries a try this month on the CW and I also can’t wait for Dexter to start. season 3 is out now, will be buying it soon,
ok I’ll check out Defying Gravity, and I saw something about Vampire diaries what station is it on??? I’m glad for Christina Cox being on a weekly series – I’d love to see Kyle on a weekly series – I need a new fix…more than just movie releases! I know the thaw comes out Oct 6 but does anyone know when Fear Island is comming out???
Tweety, I’ve seen all of True Blood so far and it’s mildly entertaining, but not something I really make an effort to watch. As Pokey said, it’s pretty low rent, especially compared to BT. Too much gratuitous violence and nudity that doesn’t move the plot forward or develop the characters. The first season had a murder mystery running through it that made it watchable, but the second season has nothing underlying all the freaky stuff to hold the season together as a whole. Obviously the brass at HBO saw the whole vampire thing coming down the pike and have made the most of it. It boggles my mind what could have happened if BT had that kind of budget and advertising. And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, concludes my rant .
No idea when Fear Island will be out. All IMDB has listed for it is 2009. I’m looking forward to Gravy Train myself, but it’s not out until sometime next year. Should be pretty good – I think Colin Mochrie is hilarious and Jennifer Dale will make a great Madame. If the finished product is half as funny as the synopsis, it’ll be a scream.
Happy Labor day, even though I spent it rereading old fanfic on TB all day inbetween house cleaning and tending to the cats. I watched DG this morning cause I had to DVR it last night. Quinton and I spent the evening watchin Buffy the vampire slayer; I have all 7 seasons so I break them out once in a while and thats time I get to spend with him. I loved the way Jen was dressed in this ep, when she was in her Costume! A vulcan, ha! who would have thought and I heard the vampire remark it was priceless! I will have to go buy both BT season 2 and The Thaw at best buy. I’m kind of looking forward to gravy Train just to see Kyle in it. I’m not much of a comedy person. also, rogue, what you said about True blood is hitting the nail on the head so to speak, I would pass it up without a second thought; thats how much it impressed me! Have a great day girls.
Did any of you get a chance to watch Harpers Island with Gina Holden on it. I was really into that series. I’m wondering if there will be another season?
Hummm… it was on in the last spring, really good suspense series. Aired on CBS. Funny, the little girl from BT I think Epi 3 played Gina Holden’s daughter on Harper’s Island.
Almost past my bed time, but I had to get The Thaw and BT Season 2 pre-ordered before I forgot again.
I only caught bits and pieces of 2 or 3 eps of Harper’s Island. From what I saw, there were a bunch of people that were on BT that showed up on HI too – like the girl who played Sandra (Henry’s meal in the 1st ep) was a bartender in one of the HI eps if I remember correctly. It’s easy to tell when something has been shot in or around Vancouver – the same people keep popping up. The people who played Norman, Paul Deeds, Greg the doorman and Christina were all in Flash Gordon with Gina before the plug got pulled on that one and Crowley and Rollie from DG were both in a couple eps of Battlestar Galactica.
Interesting, yes now that you mentioned it, I remember the bartender. I saw Norman in a lifetime movie (while BT was still on) he played a strange character, again.
I have also seen Norman in a movie called P2. with Ali Larter. Where she is terrorized in a parking garage. Quinton, promised me that he would pick up BT season 2 and The Thaw when they come out; I will be having surgery the same day so I can’t go out and buy them. I finished my term with a 3.50 so thats not too bad. I wish I’d seen Harper’s Island Wonder if they show repeats. Have a great day!
Hope you had a good week! Looks like we’re gonna get one last gasp of summer up here before things start to go downhill for good.
The pilot for Vamp Diaries airs tonight at 8:00, so I’ll at least give that a try. I’ve heard it caters to the teenage Twilight demographic, so I’m not holding out much hope that it’ll be entertaining enough to hold the intrest of anyone over 25.
Saw the next ep of DG last night and things are starting to pick up – they’ve jacked up the drama and suspense significantly. Everyone, including the ground crew who haven’t really been aware of the hallucinations and Beta, now knows something’s going on and, although he’s probably not a bad guy in the traditional sense, Goss is starting to prove he’s a real jerk, to say nothing of a growing control freak. There’s also a conversation between Rollie and Eve that I really enjoyed – shows you how the spouses left behind are coping. You’ve gotta watch it guys!
Gotta run. My dad is coming over to help me fix a leaky basement window, so I’ve gotta try to get the rest of the house cleaned up before he gets here. Have a fun filled weekend folks!
I have seen the first ep of Vampire Diaries; it will probably take a couple of more eps, to impress me but they are off to good start. Anyone notice that our resident bad boy vamp is Tyler from the Covenant? How weird is that! I like the storyline they are starting, I just hope it picks up steam instead of just lying there for several eps. The next ep of DG sounds interesting rogue, I can’t wait until tomorrow night, thanks! Hey sm, when is chapter 3 of The Arcanes gonna be up? I am so looking forward to it. Have great day girls and good luck with that leafy basement rogue, i’d help if I could!
Thanks for the nudge Pokey, I’ll get busy.
I wish they would make Vampire movies/TV shows for the over 25 year olds. I’ll try watching VD (oh my – that’s just wrong) next week.
imjustaguy asked me to let you know he probably won’t be around for a bit, he and a friend were in a car accident. He’s got a broken leg, and tons of bruises and is extremely sore, but he’s in good spirits. He’s home and safe. Just keep a little prayer that he heals quickly.
Hank, I hope you get better quickly! Take care of yourself, Bub!
Saw the first episode of VD (your right, sm, that’s just wrong ) and got pretty much what I expected – Twilight on TV. I’ll probably give it a couple more eps, but I expect it’ll fall off my ‘I should see that’ list pretty quickly – I just can’t really relate to a teenage angst anymore.
Off to TB to get caught up. Have a great evening everyone!
I just got back from a weekend of camping, hikeing and so on – with the family – I love sleeping in a tent, making coffee over the open fire…. ahhhh it was GREAT.
Hank, hope your feeling better, Tweety, here in Iowa, is plays, Thursday nights on the CW at 7pm. You will have to check your channel lineup! How are you? hey rogue, DG was a little freaky last night, did you see all of those tomatoe’s, The head man at the base on earth, I forget his name, but he needs a royal ass kicking by Ted’s woman and Rollie, I am not liking him! I saw the scene between Ted and Jen too talking about her Halloween costume! I wanted to slap her! what about you? well, have a good day everone!
It originally was the Country Western music channel, then morphed into the CW….
Hi everyone, guess you heard by now that ABC is not picking up Defying Gravity….and last nights episode was the season final. Have no idea what is going to happen now with the last five episodes. I’m hoping it will still air in Canada and thus make ITunes etc. The backers are two Canadian groups, one British and then ABC. So maybe it’ll be on another channel.
I’m getting ready to head out West for a few weeks but will try and keep in touch. I’m not taking a computer with me so…..
Hope Hank is doing okay, and wonder if it’s the same leg he had broken before….sending him hugs and prayers.
Miss ya’ll and will check in when I get home.
here, it just stands for the CW, My network tv. Damn! abc, what do they want, BLOOD!! Why is it that anything with Christina, Kyle, Gina, or Dylan never lasts? And I was really getting into it!Hank, I hope your hanging in there, Sending prayers your way! Hey, BTF, have fun out west, you have been missed a lot around here!
I think the writing was on the wall about DG. Seems ABC wasn’t even interested in giving it a chance – they could have tried a different time slot and/or a different day, but elected not to. From everything I’ve seen so far, it’s looking like we’ll at least get to see all 12 episodes in Canada, either on Space or CTV. Let’s cross our fingers that another network can see that even though it takes a while to get moving, DG is a better way to spend an hour of your time than a lot of what they keep renewing.
Enjoy your trip, BTF. Hopefully the kind of weather we’ve been getting the last little while will hold for you. Thinking about you, too, Hank. Get yourself healed up soon!
Xrogue, since many of us aren’t able to ge CTV or Space would it be possible to give a brief summary of what happens after each episode airs? I’ve invested 8 weeks and it would be a shame not to know how the series ends. From what I could tell at the beginning of the series, it was never entended to be more than 12 episodes.
sm
Ditto, on what sm said, rogue! I am angry enough that its getting the boot, but it would be nice to see how it wraps up! Anyone hear about Patrick Swayze? That is so sad. I start the new term tomorrow, and i’m not all that excited; maybe I will get there after it starts, Thank God I only have 4 terms remaining after this one. “oh well” be back later!
Even though it wasn’t expected (Patrick Swazye) it was still so sad. I just kept hoping he would beat the odds…..Rest in Peace Patrick.
If it continues to show in Canada there is a good chance we’ll be able to get it on iTunes or DVD eventually….damn networks, why can’t they back any show that isn’t reality crap….
Patrick Swazye’s passing is really sad – he seemed to be genuinely good guy.
Sm and Pokey, I’d be happy to keep you up to date on the next eps of DG. I know it’s going to be airing on Space until at least October 2nd (that’s as far in advance as their online schedule goes), and since that’s the 11th ep, if my calculations are correct, I can’t imagine they’d pull the plug with one left to go.
So, Pokey, how’d your first day of school go? I can completely relate to your lack of enthusiasm – it’s easy to get burnt out when you’re going at it as hard as you are. How’s school going for you, Tweety?
Gonna run and try and get my butt to bed at a decent hour tonight. Been having trouble sleeping for almost a week and it’s starting to be a real drag. Have a good evening!
Thanks for keeping us in the loop it is much appreciated! I can relate to the sleep trouble too, but mine in mostly associated to missing my Bruce so much; School starts today actually thanks for asking. I am confused as to when the online HR class starts though they don’t have any detailed info in the syllabus regarding it.Well its that time, 5:30 am and I have to go out to catch a bus. see you all this evening have a great day everyone!
Goodness me, so much catching up to do. Apologies for not being around much at the moment, work is just insane. I just haven’t got the bandwidth for anything else. No time to write (although I’m trying), no time to read, no time to review and as for vids, forget it!
We finally got True Blood over here – it wasn’t worth waiting for and it certainly didn’t live up to the hype. Sorry, just couldn’t get into it. Didn’t like it. WHEN I have time for TV I’m reduced to watching re-run of Moonlight. It’s better than True Blood but there is NO substitute for Henry – double fangs do it for me every time.
Good luck with school Mary and Tweety.
Hank – you just shouldn’t be let out on your own…. Get well soon, hon.
The first day, wasn’t so bad, I think I’m gonna like my exploring the 60’s class. even though I have to start by writing a 3-400 word paper on a current even from a social science perspective, I think I’ll write about the parents who were told their son was killed in the war and they found out he was alive through his girlfriend; from the historian’s perspective. “Oh, get this, my HR class teaching isn’t even organized. There is no structure to the class work at all, shes making it up as she goes along, “What’s up with that? I guess we have to lead her around by the nose! Other than that, sorry for the rant! but I hate instructor’s that aren’t organized and expect you to do their job for them. Hope things are better for you Tweety, and Hank, are you being careful? I hope your feeling better! Thea, great to see you sweetie, now if we can get Chrissy back here we’d have it made! anyone say “Hell yeah” to that! give me a shout!!
I’m having computer problems – I’ve lost all my stories except for the ones already posted. So it will take some time to rewrite the last up date for FanFic, and LJ. I should have taken Sam’s advice and kept things stored somewhere other than on the computer “my documents” – Oh yes, I’ve lost almost everyones e-mail addresses.
Computers – TVs and cell phones (cars too!) Life was easier without them.
I’m right there with you! I’ve had so much computer related issues its not funny! Post when you can, I just want you to know that I’m out there reading everything BT related and lovin every minute of it! If you need it, my e-mail addy is pokeyspride2002@yahoo.com that way you can let me know when there are updates! I am so glad that all of you are back with us we have missed you!
Good to hear from you Thea! I can relate to being busy at work – I’m in the same boat. There just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day sometimes.
SM, I feel for you. Luckily I haven’t had a machine crater on me in quite a while, but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope it doesn’t take you long to retrieve or rebuild your data.
I have a couple questions for you guys. I’m gonna give my writing skills a try and summarize the last few episodes of Defying Gravity for those of you who won’t see them. In Canada, it’s been running on two networks – CTV and Space. CTV originally ran DG on Sundays, then moved it to Fridays a couple weeks ago, but is dropping it after the next ep tomorrow. Space has always run DG on Fridays, so it’s effectively a week behind CTV. Based on their online schedule, I expect Space will likely show the entire run on Fridays, but this will leave a week without a new episode. So the question becomes – would you prefer I summarize the new episode that airs tomorrow night or should I wait for next week and then continue on from there. I’m also wondering how detailed you’d like me to get. Even if I keep things brief, I suspect it might get a bit lengthy to post here, just because I tend to get a bit verbose even when I’m trying to keep it short. I thought I’d post the summaries on my LJ page (I knew I’d find a use for the stupid thing sooner or later) if it’s ok with everyone. That way the summary can be as long (or not) as you’d like and it won’t spoil it for people from overseas who may not have seen any of the series yet.
Anyway, let me know what you’d like me to do or if you’ve got a better idea and thanks for putting up with my endless babbling tonight. Better hit the sack so I can get my butt out of bed in the morning. Have a great evening!
you can wait until next week if it will be better for you! also, just send me your livejournal addy and I will jump over there when you get it posted! Thank you again for this I know it will probably tire you out alot so it is greatly appreciated!
It’s ALIVE! – my son worked on computer and got it back! Yeah – X please give us the LiveJournal addy so we can keep up with your DG summaries – looking forward to it.
Pokey & sm, my LJ address is distaffwarrior. livejournal. com (sorry that’s a bit hard to read, but I figured if I broke it up the post wouldn’t get stuck in moderation hell). Just be warned I haven’t tried to write anything that isn’t business related since university and I’m slower than the second coming, so what you end up getting might be a bit dodgy and take a while to make an appearance.
SM, so glad you got your machine running again. I hope your son got all your work back for you. That ‘Oh my God, my life is over’ feeling you get when your computer unexpectedly bites the dust is horrible, isn’t it?
Well, I’ve gotta run – I’ve gotta get started on dinner. I detest cooking with a passion but I haven’t yet found a way to avoid it that doesn’t involve paying someone, so I force myself to do a menu and cook for a week, but I make enough for 8 people and freeze it so I can live out of my freezer for a couple months. If you don’t hear from me by next Sunday, send out a search party – I may have been attacked by disgruntled cooking equipment Have a great weekend!
I feel your pain and would come help you cook if I could! If the utensils get to visious, give Prince Henry a shout and he will gladly come and put them in their place! Have a great day!
Managed to survive cooking week so far, Pokey. No major skirmishes with my pots, although I expect I’ll have a pretty good fight getting my roaster clean. Didn’t quite get everything I wanted to done, but I did manage to get 2 1/2 days worth of meals done. Considering that I grew up on a farm, you’ve gotta know I’m ‘high maintenance’ – every see a farmer that didn’t have something to bitch about? I haven’t.
Gonna try to get to bed early for real tonight. Have a great evening.
Just reread my last post and it came off rather snarly. Wasn’t my intent at all! I generally try to keep a handle on my whininess, but sometimes it gets away from me and it’s good to have someone give the leash a yank every once in a while Obviously I shouldn’t attempt humor (mine is questionable at the best of times), especially when I’m tired.
My most profound apologies and profuse grovelling will follow if needed.
No apologies necessary sweetie! You didn’t come across as rude at all. Also, I know what its like to be running on fumes so I feel your pain. I have to write a one page essay as if I were on the Iowa legislature disussing the banning of cell phones in cars while they are in motion, from a historical pov. Also, I have to put together an annotated bibliography on an HR topic of the week. talk about pressure! Well, off for a break and to read some V/H smut! Thats what I live for, aren’t I sad? ha!
Wow everyone has been chatty on here… school is going ok, we went camping two weekends ago – plan on going again in the near future. I have been mega stressed lately, sometimes craig’s whole illness gets to me – I’m like a single mom, but I have another adult to think of too and we tend to have a power struggle, kinda confusing I know. Anyways I checked out vampire diaries last week and it seemed interesting the only thing is it’s on the same time as bones and I have watched bones since the beginning. SOOOOOOOOOO I don’t know! We also got a new beagle puppy he weighs 4 lbs 4 oz cutest little thing – he was kinda a gift for craig who has always wanted a beagle. Well that’s it for me chat with you later.
Glad to hear from you. I can imagine how stressful that can be on you and that makes you a wonderful person inside and out. I’m glad school is going ok for you! it is for me as well. Its only the end of the first week so I’m just getting started. I am writing an annotated bibliography for 4 sources for next week in HR class and under the much cursed APA format ( I really hate having to write my papers like that.) Well I guess thats all for now, hope the camping trip was fun!
Stopping in for a quick drive-by hi. Been stupid busy at work and at home the last few days and *sigh* there’s no end in sight. Hoping I’ll get a chance to get back on the weekend. Have a great day!
Relaxation is being semi-retired and no one having your phone number to ask you to volunteer! There are some advantages to being over 60 – one of them is I can be grumpy and get away with it!
Here’s hoping everyone has a good week.
Shout out to Hank – I hope you’re getting better!
Finally found a few minutes to breathe this weekend. Took all day, but I got the last of my cooking done today, just need to wrap up a couple batches of muffins and get them in the freezer. Spent yesterday at my Dad’s to celebrate his birthday and say goodbye before he heads south for the winter.
Glad to hear school is going well for you, Tweety. Enjoy your next camping trip, I hope it helps relieve some of your stress.
How’d your papers go last week pokey? I’m sure you got great marks on them.
Sm, I’m so envious! What I wouldn’t give to be retired or semi retired Read the new chapters of The Phone Call and ARCANES – they’re wonderful! Keep up the great work.
Hank, I hope you’re on the mend, we miss you around here.
Well, it’s getting late and I’d better get those muffins wrapped up before they dry out and become little brown pucks. Haven’t forgotten about the next episode of DG, it is coming but it might take a bit longer than I expected this week. Have a great evening everyone!
Where is the phone call posted? I have read the first three chapters of Arcanes but didn’t see any phone call storie! Hi Hank! hope you are on the mend and feeling great again. Rogue, I finished the papers but haven’t gotten any grade or comments on them yet, I will keep you all posted! every one have a great week! Is the DG stuff up now? the last time I checked it still wasn’t I will go look talk to you soon! LOve, hugs, and kisses to all my family out there!
Pokey – The Phone call is posted at the live journal site – “My Real Tears”.
Is anyone else have problems with posting something new on FanFiction? The site freezes on me for some reason.
Thank you Xrogue. Reading about your cooking marathons make me remember my early years as a young wife. My son hinted about me making strawberry jam this summer – I used the old fashion canning methods for years when he was little. I told him no way was I ever going to pick, clean and boil strawberry syrup. I wasn’t going to sterilize jars and use wax seals again.
Hot, labor intensive work for 8 jars.
Oh, Sm, I just had a flashback of my mom canning and freezing almost all summer long. She’d be making jam and blanching and freezing vegetables for days, it seemed. I can understand your reluctance to be stuck in the kitchen for hours
Hey Pokey, I haven’t had a chance to start on episode 9 of DG. I’ve got a crazy week coming up – month end invoicing and I let my dad suck me into hemming some pants for him that need to be done by the weekend, so I’m hoping I can squeeze it in by Friday, but don’t bet the farm on me.
Ten minutes before I’ve gotta hit the sack so I’m going to quickly check TB. Have a great evening!
I am really sorry again that I haven’t been around this summer at all. Its been crazy for these past three months. First event happen when I call my family on Easter Sunday and I found out that a new edition was coming into the family. My cousin and his wife were having their second child. It was another boy. She wasn’t happy at all and wanted that little girl so bad. Second event happen when my father and I went to visit his family in West Virginia in early August. The trip was for weekend only. We got a good story on my Uncle’s family side and it wasn’t good at all when we heard the details of this situation. This is my father’s sister’s husband family problem. I will give you all the details another time. The last day we were visiting my aunt and she gets this phone call from her son that he is in a car wreck. He has total his car and just scape the woman’s car. He is a fault and has to go court next month. He was charge for reckless driving. He is fine. Third event happen was that I am in the process of opening my second business in the area. My business is a wedding coordinator. The name is That Special Occasion. The fourth event happen is that I am still sending presents to my family for this new baby due in August and three September birthdays. They love their gifts.
Hank, I hope you are feelin better now.
Mary and Tweety, I see school is going well for you both. Keep up the good work
I will go search for your story sm, I know it will be good. Hi rogue, Take your time dear, I was just asking I thought maybe I hadn’t looked in the right place!Hi Vandy, the term is jut getting underway and I have to have my surgery next Tuesday; I have told my instructors so while I’m in the hospital I will have a few days of work to get caught up on when I get out! That is so gonna suck! Sorry to hear about the problems with your family Vandy, you are in my prayers; Canning! You can send me some of that strawberry jam, its my fav. I never canned anything but used to watch my mom can tomatoes and green beans and she was also in the kitchen for long hours. well off to read, have great day all! Are you dancing yet Hank? feel better hon,
Got through tonight’s chores faster than I expected. I thought I was going to have to hem a pair of pants for my dad, but ended up only patching a pair of shorts (thank God I made him try the pants on before I started whacking them off ) Seems like ages since I’ve been able to take my time and actually enjoy being online instead of being in a panic. Guess I’d better enjoy it, still have at least another week of insanity.
Hey Vandy! Glad you’re back! Very sorry to hear about your less than stellar summer, hope things improve for you.
So I’m about 20% through episode 9 of DG, Pokey. It’s going to take a while to get through just because I’m kinda up to my eyeballs in other stuff at the moment (and I’m just naturally slower than the second coming), but thanksgiving weekend is next week up here, so I’m shooting to get both ep 9 and 10 done by the 12th. Speaking of DG, I did run across a rumour that ABC hasn’t officially cancelled it and they are planning on showing the remaining eps, but there’s not indication of when that might be. I don’t think I’d be surprised if DG got resurrected from the beginning as a plugin for a fall show that gets yanked. Maybe if that happened, it would find an audience.
Well, I’ve obviously rambled more than is polite. I think I’ll pump myself full of drugs (I’m starting to catch a cold and I just can’t be out of commission right now) and wander over to TB and see what’s cookin over there. Have a great evening!
take your time sweetie, I hope it get resurrected, I would love to spend my sunday evenings with DG and is it jut me or does anyone else believe Desperate Housewives has run its course? Thats one show I could never get into and will be glad when its done. Unless they get into desperate old wives! ha! apologes to anyone who likes this show no offense intended, just opinion! Well have great day everyone!
It’s very late on the east coast. Mary, I will be thinking about you on October 6th. You are in my thoughts and prayers right now. I know that your surgery will be fine.
On Wednesday October 7th, I will be celebrating my 40th birthday. It will be an awesome day.
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow, Pokey. I know you’ll come through it with flying colors. Hope Quinton has gotten his hands on BT Season 2 for you so you have something to drool over while you’re recovering Got mine in the mail last Thursday, but have been to busy to crack it open yet. Next weekend is a long weekend, so I’m gonna do the BT film fest thing.
It’s a bit early, but happy birthday Vandy! I hope you have a fabulous day!
Well, I’ve got a long week ahead, so I’d better get a move on. Have a great day!
I wish you could hear me singing to you! I’m sure I will be fine and thank you both for your thoughts and prayers, No Quinton hasn’t gotten it for me yet,it won’t be out at best buy until tomorrow, but I will give my sister rosie the money to pick it up for me. Have a good week rogue and vandy!
What the? Best Buy, in the Detroit area, does not have any copies of Season 2 and is not planning on getting any. I guess I should have ordered ahead…but I’m an instant gratification kind of gal and wanted it on the 6th. Looks like I’ll have to wait after all. This totally ruined my day.
Happy Birthday Vandy and prayers to Pokey and Hank.
I know how you feel. It’s just a little depressing, isn’t it? I also got my copy of The Thaw in the mail today, so I can take a bit of comfort in a Kyle film fest this weekend.
I am making progress on DG, by the way. I’m about half way through ep 9, so assuming I don’t bite off more than I can chew this weekend (which is a really annoying habit I’ve got), I should get it uploaded and a healthy start on ep 10.
Good to see you back, anite! I’m kinda an instant gratification type too, but restraint is easier to get a handle on when you figure an extra day or two is a pretty easy price to pay to guarantee yourself whatever it is you’re obsessing about
Just have enough time to check out TB before I hit the sack. Have a great evening, everyone!
I just got home from the hospital today, so I am getting in late, Anti, I couldn’t get my copy at Best Buy either they weren’t gonna have it until next week, so I found it at wal-mart by chance today for $20. I rented the Thaw and I will leave it up to your own gratification or not! I will say no more at this time about it. I have a busy week ahead for Hr management class so take care and I’ll be around off and on; looking forward to DG, and Hank still praying your on the mend!
I’m quite sore and it feels pretty stiff but My son said it looks like its healing well. I am just getting ready to get started on a summary paper for my HR class and then I have to do the discussion threads but I have the paper for my 60’s class done! So not too bad!
be careful out there driving around if the weather is getting bad; It is turning cold here and supposed to bring flurries during the weekend! My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you!
Hi everyone. Just doing a quick drive by to assure you all that I am still here!!
Work is still stooopid busy, so I don’t have much time for anything at the moment.
Mary, hope you are now recovered from your surgery.
HAnk, hope you’re recovered now too.
Has anyone seen the pics of Kyle at Ring-con?
I’m Soooooo pissed!! I was planning on going to Ring-con but couldn’t get the time off work and what do I see??? Sitting right behind darlin’ Kyle is my other favourite hottie Craig Parker. I can’t BELIEVE I missed BOTH of them! Arrrrrgh!!!
You can find most of the links on KSC. If you go to Gallery and click on the Ringcon photo there is a link there to morthond.de which has some good pics of Kyle on a panel sitting next to Craig Parker and looking as if they’re having a ball.
June 25, 2009 at 7:50 am
Nice pic Hank!
Thank you for posting the winners of the contest so far and letting me know that there was a third part. I kept checking after I finished the second one but didn’t see anything. I will go check it out now.
June 25, 2009 at 7:53 am
Well
I guess the deadline has past for this round so I will wait on the next one.
June 27, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Where is everyone? I am reading stuff on TB and watching E. They have an all day tribute ot Michael and Farrah. It is so strange; the thought that we all grew up with both of them pretty much. I wish I could have seen him in concert at least once. I hope you all are having a good day. be in off and on.
Love Mary
June 29, 2009 at 12:48 am
Evening all,
Hope you had a good weekend!
June 29, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Hi
For anyone who’s interested, I posted a poem at my space called SOn of mine. its a tribute to my Bruce who will be 26 next month. You can go to pokeyspride2002@myspace.com
Hope you all like it.
June 29, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Sorry, that link is not very good so just go to my space and look for my home page it should be on there.
Love Mary
June 29, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Nice Hank.
How are you?
June 30, 2009 at 8:41 am
The above was written by me!
June 30, 2009 at 11:38 am
I’m doing ok. How do you like the changes and new things?
June 30, 2009 at 11:48 am
One question,
Where’s my icon?
June 30, 2009 at 11:49 am
Now I don’t have one! whats up?
June 30, 2009 at 12:07 pm
I have no idea what is going on with the icons….all I did with those was change the type for people who don’t have one. And have not touched that today.
June 30, 2009 at 11:49 am
OH, there it is, sorry
July 1, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Evening everyone,
Hope everyone had a great day.
July 2, 2009 at 7:04 am
Hey Rogue,
Have a great nap and hope your Canada day was fun.
July 4, 2009 at 8:20 am
Happy Independence Day!!! Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!
July 5, 2009 at 10:36 pm
Hey Rogue,
How’s it going? How was your 4th? Mine was kinda quiet. I invited loads of people over for BBQ and two people showed, one being my son Quinton. Go figure, I am not used to people who pass on free food! Then I went to the bar, sang karaokee and drank three pitchers of beer and still went home alone. (Damn!) well, I guess that’s all for now hope all of you are ok, no ones been here much lately, Hank, read the update on the story and I’m getting intrigued.
July 5, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Hi all,
Hope those of you in the US had a good 4th of July weekend.
July 7, 2009 at 6:01 pm
Hey rogue,
I am not that rowdy! I would love to be rowdy with Henry in a heartbeat though!! HInt, HInt! Hope there are no children or virgin ears out there (Sorry)! Where is everyone?
July 7, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Thanks rogue…..I was hoping to have the next one up by now but there are some things keeping me pretty occupied. I hope I’ll get it up in a day or two.
July 9, 2009 at 7:51 am
Hi guys,
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. The Fearless Leader is on holidays and I’m going nuts trying get caught up before he gets back on Monday and get ahead of things so I can go on holidays the week after and not come back to a mountain of paper.
Gotta run so I can get into work early, so have a great day!
July 10, 2009 at 9:15 am
Morning all!
How are all of you today, Hope everyone has a good day; still working on next weeks homework. Later!
July 11, 2009 at 3:12 pm
Hi all
How are all of you? Tomorrow is my Bruce’s 26th birthday and I baked him a cake and I will be going out to the bar tonight to party and to the cemetary in the morning to sing to him. He would have had so much fun and I know he is up there partying with Micheal Jackson. He is the lucky one!
July 13, 2009 at 9:51 am
Hi,
Where is everyone? Well Bruce’s birthday wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be; I ended up with quite a few people around me so it wasn’t too bad. I have pics but for some reason my USB drive stopped working, now I have to figure out whats wrong with it and then I can send some here for you all to see. Have a good day!
July 14, 2009 at 12:40 am
Evening everyone,
Hope you’ve all had a good day – I’m still running around liek a one-armed paper hanger trying to get things done before I go on holidays (3 days and counting).
July 15, 2009 at 6:47 am
Thanks rogue,
I go in this morning and have a biopsy done on my spleen; its enlarged and I have been having a few issues with my stomach so they want a closer look. I’m sure it’s nothing major but will keep you all posted. Have a good day.
Love Mary
July 17, 2009 at 8:21 am
Morning all,
Ever noticed how the world is a much better place on the first day of holidays than it was the last day of work? I’m just about to head off to see my grandparents for a few days, so I figured I stop in and say hi.
Pokey, I hope your biopsy went well and you get your health issues sorted out without a lot of hassle. How’s the homework going, by the way? Have you been snowed under with it again this term?
it seems that hit and run hi’s are all I can get out these days. I’d better get on the road before the serious traffic does. Have a great day and I’ll drop in again when I get home.
July 17, 2009 at 8:51 am
Hi rogue
No, the homework has been pretty easy on me this term thank GOD! I am supposed to call today to see if any of the results came back I’m praying that its not a lymphoma, the thought of any kind of cancer scares the hell out of me! Well I will talk to you soon, enjoy your time with your grandparents.
July 17, 2009 at 3:12 pm
Here’s a chance to tell lifetime and Andrea Wong what we think of them
http://thestimulist.com/andrea-wong/
Please feel free to leave your comments. I already did
July 17, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Hey Thea
I left my comments. How are you? I tried to get back to you on the yahoo chat but by the time I posted my message you were gone.
July 18, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Hi Mary, I’m fine, thanks. How you doing? Thanks for your review, hope I haven’t made you take up smoking??
If you and Rogue would like to see the drawings I made of the characters, drop me you email addy and I’ll send them but I warn you a couple of them could possibly be marked adults only……lol
July 18, 2009 at 3:16 pm
I’m good, as far as not smoking! thank you. My E-mail addy is above, pokeyspride2002@yahoo.com I am on there several times a day; and yes I am very interested in seeing your pics. “Please”
July 20, 2009 at 10:36 am
Sorry I haven’t been here in awhile. We finally got moved into a new house and two weeks later Dad passed away. We took him back to Boise so he could be buried next to Mom. He was 87 and the last week he just failed real fast. Hospice came in the last few days and were a true blessing, if you ever find that you need them don’t hesitate.
Things are starting to settle into a routine now so hopefully I’ll be here more often. Hugs to everyone….and IJAG you are doing a great job.
July 20, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Hey Marty,
How’s it going? I am still here. Sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine when I was 12 so I know alittle about it. Mine had a heart attack. How is the writing coming? any thing new yet? I’m still on TB everyday. Hope you and family are well. I have missed you very much. Nice to see you back.
July 21, 2009 at 5:17 pm
Hi everyone, Pokey I loved the Poem, it was very touching.
Hi to all hope everyone is well, I’m running crazy as usual but I wanted to stop in and say hi. I have been enjoying my BT DVD. I ll stop in later.

Hi All,
Got back from my grandparent’s place about an hour ago.
I’m up to 33 words, but have been stuck for a while
.
July 21, 2009 at 8:50 pm
I don’t even know if I remember….I’ll have to go look and see if I can find the answer key.
July 23, 2009 at 1:42 pm
xrogue,
some are epsiode titles, but they can overlap….wild blood also becomes blood price. I lost the answer key so as soon as I figure out some of what else is in the puzzle I’ll let you know.
July 26, 2009 at 2:42 am
Thanks, Hank, I really appreciate it. Found 3 more while I was wasting time this morning. Who knows, if you wait long enough I may figure the out all by myself – odds are you’ll probably be collecting a pension by that time, though
July 21, 2009 at 10:18 pm
Thank you Tweety, Rogue, I won’t get my results until tomorrow I will let you all know how they turn out! Could use lots of prayers right now! I am scared to death!!
July 22, 2009 at 6:06 pm
Hi everyone,
well the verdict is in; I was diagnosed with CLL,(Chronic,Lymphocytic Leukemia) Its not aggresive; its been living inside me for a long time. and was first found in 2008 when I had that problem with my thyroid, thats why I had to have part of my thyroid taken out. They didn’t tell me about it then, She said all we do for now is keep an eye on it that its lying dormant and as long as it stays that way I have nothing to worry about. “Whew” I dodged a bullet with that one huh! talk to you all soon take care Mary.
July 22, 2009 at 11:11 pm
I’m so glad you got good news, Pokey. I’m sure the waiting has been driving you nuts.
I’m on holidays until August 4th, but I had a surprisingly productive day. I got a bunch of furniture and a bookcase moved before noon that I thought would take all day. I’ve also been planning on cleaning out my basement and got most of the junk sorted out and packed up so all I have to do now is talk my dad into giving me a hand loading it into the truck
Sorry, got carried away again. Hopefully it won’t take long for me to quit babbling like an idiot. Have a great evening everyone!
July 23, 2009 at 9:16 am
Let’s support “Vicki” Christina Cox by watching her new show. Defying Gravity on ABC Starts August 2 9pm est/8pm central.
Blood Ties 4ever!
July 23, 2009 at 10:40 am
Hi Tanya, welcome! Interesting you should mention Defying Gravity – I just read an article about it featuring Christina. I had to chuckle a bit when they reeled off the actors playing the astronauts and put their most identifiable work in brackets – Blood Ties was what they put in for Christina. I really hope this series goes well for her, but to be completely honest I’d give my right arm to see her in new episodes of Blood Ties.
Have a great day, folks. Gotta get laundry done and the bathroom cleaned.
July 25, 2009 at 2:45 am
Hi guys,
Not sure if it’s been announced it or not, but the second half of Blood Ties is available for pre-order on both the US and Canadian Amazon websites as well as on the Chapters website in Canada.
Have a great evening!
July 26, 2009 at 11:47 am
whats up everybody?
Its like a ghost town here! Chrissy I miss you! hope all is well with my family here! have a good day!
July 27, 2009 at 12:20 am
Hi all,
Hope you had a good weekend.
July 27, 2009 at 7:18 am
Hi Rogue
yes, your right! mideterms start this week. hope you don’t get to snowed under with housework. I would help you if I could. Try to enjoy as much of your vacation as possible. It may be a while before the next one.
July 27, 2009 at 9:12 am
Hey Pokey,
Good luck with your midterms, I know you’ll do great.
July 27, 2009 at 5:22 pm
Hey girl,
I might, finals for this term start Sept. 7th and the break is from the 9th -15th Next term starts 9/16/09 enjoy the rest of your vacation!
July 28, 2009 at 3:09 pm
Hi everyone.
Rogue if you’re on I can’t send part 2 as your mailbox is full and it bounced my second mail.
July 28, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Hi Thea,
Sorry about that, forgot to purge my mailbox after I downloaded all of my work email. Thanks very much and you should be good to go now.
July 30, 2009 at 9:20 pm
Hey,
where is everyone? no one is coming around.
July 30, 2009 at 11:39 pm
Hey Pokey,
I’m still around.
July 31, 2009 at 2:01 pm
Hi rogue
glad to see you here! I agree with the TB decrease in story updates as well. I’m ok, had my endoscopy this morning. and everything checked out ok It must just be from the bronchitis I have. oh well’ Don’t work too hard sweetie ok! talk to you soon still kind of sleepy from sedative.
love you!
July 31, 2009 at 7:07 pm
It’s midnight and I’m still at work and have been since 9 am. Pressure of work has prevented me from updating on TB – sorry, sometimes real life gets in the way.
Hope you’re feeling better soon Mary.
Speak to you guys soon. Got an hours drive when I finally get out of here.
August 1, 2009 at 12:42 am
August 1, 2009 at 9:37 am
Hey girls,
Endoscopy went well, had a small narrowing of the esophogus but not enough that it had to be opened up with a balloon. I don’t know what he did yesterday but I swallowing alot better now. Oh Thea, I hope you are ok driving home that late at night. “PLease” be careful.an hour! “WOW” make sure your alert sweetie, we love you
August 3, 2009 at 1:10 am
Evening all,
Just finished watching the premier of Christina’s new show – Defying Gravity.
August 4, 2009 at 3:18 pm
Hi rogue,
I watched it too.
August 7, 2009 at 10:19 am
Heyrogue,
Thanks for the info on the virus. I haven’t had any of those e-mails so far hopefully I won’t later.
Mary
August 7, 2009 at 10:37 pm
Evening all,
Hope you’ve had a good week.
August 8, 2009 at 9:18 am
HI rogue
Unless they changed the first preview It shows her kissing this affican american dude and they make it look like they are about to get some action and her husband says something about her cheating on him. I don’t know what they have planned but I will be watching I hope she doesn’t make out with that guy! It would ruin everything.
August 10, 2009 at 8:14 am
Morning all,
A quick drive-by hi before I head back to the salt mines.
Well, folks, gotta run. Have a great day!
August 10, 2009 at 11:19 am
no, I was talking about the affair she is supposed to have with the other guy not her husband.
August 11, 2009 at 12:16 am
August 11, 2009 at 7:09 am
HI rogue
I know, I think Zoe is a tease! and I’d like to smack her once myself. and if Jen messes around on Rollie, be it with Ted or anyone else, she needs to be slapped too. Or taken down a peg or two by our fav vamp what do you say! I am still warming up to the others too but it is interesting where this is gonna go. I don’t mind the one on one conversation, but I do miss everyone else, how about you? I have class this morning so I hope you have a good day, and if you find any of our stragglers give them a shout for me too ok? Love ya!
August 11, 2009 at 12:36 pm
I’ve been keeping quiet but I’m around a few times a day.
August 11, 2009 at 12:59 pm
I’m in and out too.
Can’t comment on DG as it hasn’t made it over here, yet. Will decide whether to look out for it, when you guys decide whether it get a YAY or a NAY.
Hope you’re all good.
August 11, 2009 at 9:28 pm
Whoo hoo!! There is life out there! Good to know that Pokey and I aren’t all by ourselves
Don’t be such strangers, guys!
August 12, 2009 at 8:40 am
Hi Thea, Hank, and rogue!
August 12, 2009 at 6:12 pm
LD is just fine thanks. He’s booking concert tickets like crazy and costing me a bloody fortune! He’s going to see Devil Driver and Hollywood Undead in the fall.
August 14, 2009 at 8:24 am
Morning all,
Missed you guys the last couple days – my machine was trying to cough up on me Wednesday night and I had to be out of the house last night.
August 14, 2009 at 12:36 pm
Hey girls,
Thought I would stop and and shout! Hey C, posted an update to the choice if you haven’t read it yet! going there now later!
Much love!
August 16, 2009 at 6:36 pm
Hi all that remain!
I am so tired! help!
August 16, 2009 at 10:58 pm
Evening all,
Hope you’ve all had a good weekend.
August 17, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Hey girl,
watched DG last night and the episode was awesome,Poor donner, I felt so bad for him. It is going between raining and hot and hummid temps here.Quinton went to sixflags this past weekend and is coming home tonight. I have to get ready for his birthday this sunday, he’ll be 29. hard to believe my 1st born is almost 30.
August 17, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Hey Pokey,
Yup, DG is starting to grow on me, although I figured it’d take Donner a bit longer to start wigging out.
August 18, 2009 at 7:50 am
Hey rogue
It has grown on me too, I have to tune in every sunday to see whats gonna happen. I feel bad for Donner but he and Zoe need to hook up I don’t like that other woman that is trying to get him, I can’t remember her name. I know, if they can keep her from having space sex Jen should be fine! It could be space sex with Rollie, that I could live with.I have a dr. appointment this morning so I will be back later.
Love bunches
M.
August 20, 2009 at 8:07 am
Hey Pokey,
How’d your doctor appointment go yesterday? Sorry I didn’t drop by last night – ended up bringing work home and had my nose stuck in it until 10:30 (I’m no where near as dedicated as Thea is
).
Sorry to say hi and run, gotta try to get a couple loads of laundry done before I leave for work. Have a great day!
August 20, 2009 at 10:38 am
Hey Rogue,
I ended up having to go and get a CT of my neck cause he wanted to see what my thyroids doing! I meet with him again in the 2nd of sept. to get results. Have fun with your laundry I will have a ton of it after I bombfor fleas tomorrow. Check in soon, have a great day!
August 22, 2009 at 8:51 am
August 22, 2009 at 10:05 am
Hi sm,
“Please” don’t drift too far away, all of your friends here still love and miss you! also, I never tire of reading anyones stories. you are all so talented, “Wow” I agree 110% on the only dream Vampire being Henry!
August 22, 2009 at 10:28 am
Morning all,
Hey SM! Glad you’re still stopping by, we miss you
I read the new chapter you posted on FanFiction, it’s great stuff!
August 22, 2009 at 1:52 pm
Pokey and Rogue really good to hear from you.
I’m working on a couple of writing projects, so keep watching they’ll be posted as soon as I get them right.
Have a great week-end.
August 22, 2009 at 6:03 pm
Hey rogue and annonymous,
You are right rogue, this is the last week of the term for homework and then I get a break for a week and a half, Kitties are fine, and bombing was a success; needless to say, I have to repeat it in two weeks. just to be on the safe side. I am looking forward to reading your projects, Annonymous will they be on TB? Thats where I do the majority of my reading. Saw “Inglourious Basterds” today, it was awesome! well till later have a great day all.
August 25, 2009 at 7:49 am
Morning all,
Just poking my head in to see if there’s still life here
Glad your bombing went well, Pokey.
August 25, 2009 at 7:03 pm
Hi everyone, checking in to let you know I’m still here.
Been watching Defying Gravity and it is a great show. Not Blood Ties but then again nothing is.
Christina again does a strong, independent female. You know the kind that Lifetime hates.
August 26, 2009 at 3:08 am
August 26, 2009 at 3:11 am
Rogue – I’m not THAT dedicated to work – it was only because it was an implementation. lol
We still don’t get Defying Gravity, but I live in hopes…..
August 26, 2009 at 8:18 am
Morning all,
BTF! Wonderful to hear from you! Hope you and yours have been well. Don’t be such a stranger
Very glad to hear you’re feeling better Thea. Can’t have one of my favourite writers unable to feed my addiction
About Defying Gravity – bittorents are the answer.
August 26, 2009 at 8:58 am
Mornin’ girls
I will see you all later. much love!
Mary
August 26, 2009 at 4:19 pm
My TV has been collecting dust all summer. I’ve cancelled cable and just get the basic channels – Sundays I turn it on for Defying Gravity and it has been holding my attention – but the voice overs and flashbacks are down right annoying. I love good SiFi, but there is a lot lacking in the technical part of the show – Very poor science -the bar is so 20th century – and the space ship has way too much wasted space – OK, it’s only 12 episodes long – but they could have done a lot better with the sets.
Christina is the best part of the show!!!!
August 26, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Yelling now: Henry Fitzroy! you are needed back on TV – Where is that Vampire when you need him?????
August 26, 2009 at 4:46 pm
I agree but he is probably seeking some fresh blood somewhere knowing him and that sexy smile! Hi sm, glad to see you checking in who knows he might be out on the town with Mike too! hard to say!
August 26, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Hugs
August 27, 2009 at 8:32 am
August 27, 2009 at 9:30 am
Morning girls,
BTF, You will always be missed here!
August 29, 2009 at 7:57 pm
After waiting a year I finally got my autographed picture of Kyle as Henry – smiling as I type – sigh -
August 29, 2009 at 8:54 pm
Just dropping by to say hi. Thunderstorms in the area are starting to kick up again so I won’t be on long.
Did you hear that A&E’s group has purchased Lifetime? They are keeping Wong where she’s at for now, but my guess is not for long. Anytime this happens they replace the brass, and face it, hers are cast iron……
Hope Defying Gravity, if it does go off the air, at least has a better ending than BT did….our no ending, ending, really (if you’ll pardon the expression) sucked….

Hi everyone!
Been gone a long while.. but been busy this summer. Things seem to be winding down some now so hoping to have more time to check in with everyone. Hope you all have been well, had a wonderful summer too.
I’m still stuck with dial up so things computer wise are moving slowly… and driving me nuts! Haven’t watched a BT video in three months now and I’m really suffering withdrawals. haha
Anyway, have a wonderful Sunday!
August 30, 2009 at 9:15 am
HI everyone,
sm, glad you got your pic,I’m sure it is awesome and he is hopefully in full living color, or a very sexy up close B&W.
August 30, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Morning everyone,
Hope you’re all having a great weekend.
August 30, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Hey rogue,
You have got to give me more of a hint on what angle they are talking about using, if a movie is done what type of spin? and on the DG home front, I will be tuning in tonight and if you get spoilers “Please” indulge me alittle, I don’t mind knowing some things up front. Have fun in the sun!
Love to all!
August 31, 2009 at 4:12 pm
August 31, 2009 at 5:05 pm
Hey Marty,
I wish I could Take a ride on that train with you!
August 31, 2009 at 5:09 pm
sorry about the mix up I meant Zoe’s abortion not miscarriage. my bad!
September 1, 2009 at 8:37 am
Morning folks,
Yup, Jen’s gonna get busted about Rufus sooner or later (I’m betting sooner).
September 3, 2009 at 6:21 am
Hey Rogue
I knew it would be too good to be true as far as her staying celebut toward Rollie. Now why couldn’t they make Vicky more like that with Henry, can you imagine the steam’ “whew” I would want to on a big movie screen thats for sure.” I found out yesterday that the other half of my thyroid has to come out as well, it is enlarged and pushing my esophogus thats what is making it hard for me to swallow food properly. They will be doing the surgery on Oct 6; its just an overnight thing so I will go home the next day, hope you have a good day see you later today.
September 3, 2009 at 4:43 pm
Hi all Tweety Here…how have you all been, Im good, I have a job at an animal hospital now and I love it – So I have been busy at work. But Still watching BT on my dvd and can’t wait til The thaw comes out. Now that I am also taking classes at purdue I have wireless interned and my own PC so hubby and I don’t have to fight over the internet, so now I can be on here more often…ya’ll take care!
September 3, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Hey, I was just reading some posts – really a BT movie????? But it wouldn’t be the same with out the same cast – how possible is that????????????
September 3, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Hi Tweety!
September 3, 2009 at 11:22 pm
Evening all,
Someday I’m gonna learn to do my accounting on a daily basis instead of trying to jam it all into 1 evening. Way too much work after working all day.
Pokey, I didn’t realize you weren’t well
I hope your surgery goes well. Glad to hear how well school went this term, though. Congrats!
Congrats to you too, Tweety! It’s so much easier to go to work every day when you enjoy what you’re doing. Going to school too, we’re gonna have such a smart bunch around here soon, I’m gonna be too dumb to hang out anymore
That BT movie stuff is, as yet, unconfirmed and extremely speculative rumor, so you should probably take it with a grain of salt. It is nice to dream, though, isn’t it?
Gonna make a quick pit stop at TB then hit the sack. Have a great evening everyone!
September 4, 2009 at 9:18 am
Hey rogue sweetie,
you are one of the smartest people here and don’t ever forget that. We love you now and always will no matter how much education we get! Yes it is nice to dream, and I am not keeping my fingers crossed but I can pray!! Chrissy where are you? I miss you dear!
September 5, 2009 at 9:31 am
Good morning ladies. Sorry I haven’t been keeping anything updated but things have been been busy.
If you are ready for EBT 36 to start, does anyone have a picture suggestion?
September 5, 2009 at 11:22 am
Hi Hank,
Glad to see you’re still here, I was starting to wonder what happened to you.
Not gonna say any more – don’t want to really spoil it for you
Better watch tomorrow, though (Jen’s got a line about a vampire that made me chuckle at the irony).
Have a great day all. Working on day 2 of a migraine and the screen is a bit bright to stare at for an extended period. Gonna crawl under the nearest rock and hope it goes away soon.
September 5, 2009 at 1:04 pm
Personally I’d like to see something romantic between Henry and Vicki, after all it was their interaction that made the show so special (at least for me. Christina Cox’s character is what’s making DG interesting for me. She has a way of bring her character to life that is missing from most of the actors on the show.
September 5, 2009 at 4:00 pm
Hank!! nice to see you back here buddy, can’t wait for your next update over at TB.
September 6, 2009 at 1:04 pm
Morning all,
Thanks for the thoughts, Pokey.
September 6, 2009 at 1:04 pm
September 6, 2009 at 2:36 pm
Thank you Xrogue, I’m glad you like the story. I hear the word Vampire and I see Kyle’s Henry. I’m spoiled – plus now that I don’t get cable – if the vampire show is not on the major networks I don’t get to see it. I’m too cheap to buy the DVDs of anything but Blood Ties. I guess I’m a one vampire woman.
September 6, 2009 at 11:37 pm
hey rogue,
I will go check it out, I wish I could come visit your country sometime, I went to visit Bruce today, and Quinton and I talked about living our lives for Bruce, when he asked me where I would like to visit, I said Toronto, and vancouver. I will be giving vampire diaries a try this month on the CW and I also can’t wait for Dexter to start. season 3 is out now, will be buying it soon,
Much Love
Mary
September 7, 2009 at 11:37 am
ok I’ll check out Defying Gravity, and I saw something about Vampire diaries what station is it on??? I’m glad for Christina Cox being on a weekly series – I’d love to see Kyle on a weekly series – I need a new fix…more than just movie releases! I know the thaw comes out Oct 6 but does anyone know when Fear Island is comming out???
Happy Labor Day all
September 7, 2009 at 1:12 pm
Morning all,
Hope you’re having a good Labour Day!
And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, concludes my rant
.
September 7, 2009 at 3:01 pm
I see, well I just went on to amazon and pre ordered BT season 2 and The Thaw, they are both being release Oct 6. CAN”T WAIT!!!
September 7, 2009 at 4:49 pm
Hey rogue and tweety,
Happy Labor day, even though I spent it rereading old fanfic on TB all day inbetween house cleaning and tending to the cats.
September 7, 2009 at 9:23 pm
Did any of you get a chance to watch Harpers Island with Gina Holden on it. I was really into that series. I’m wondering if there will be another season?
September 8, 2009 at 9:34 am
No Tweety,
I haven’t seen it. I don’t even know if its even aired here!
September 8, 2009 at 2:44 pm
Hummm… it was on in the last spring, really good suspense series. Aired on CBS. Funny, the little girl from BT I think Epi 3 played Gina Holden’s daughter on Harper’s Island.
September 9, 2009 at 12:35 am
Evening folks,
Almost past my bed time, but I had to get The Thaw and BT Season 2 pre-ordered before I forgot again.
September 9, 2009 at 11:48 am
Interesting, yes now that you mentioned it, I remember the bartender. I saw Norman in a lifetime movie (while BT was still on) he played a strange character, again.
September 10, 2009 at 9:20 am
Hi everyone,
I have also seen Norman in a movie called P2. with Ali Larter.
September 11, 2009 at 6:28 pm
TGIF!
Hope everyone had a good week. What’s the word on Vampire Diaries? Any good?
September 12, 2009 at 11:52 am
Morning all,
Hope you had a good week!
September 12, 2009 at 12:35 pm
MOrnin’ all
I have seen the first ep of Vampire Diaries; it will probably take a couple of more eps, to impress me but they are off to good start.
September 12, 2009 at 3:14 pm
Thanks for the nudge Pokey, I’ll get busy.
I wish they would make Vampire movies/TV shows for the over 25 year olds. I’ll try watching VD (oh my – that’s just wrong) next week.
September 12, 2009 at 6:32 pm
hey, sm, I’ll say! VD? You are so cute!
September 13, 2009 at 12:16 pm
Hi everyone –
imjustaguy asked me to let you know he probably won’t be around for a bit, he and a friend were in a car accident. He’s got a broken leg, and tons of bruises and is extremely sore, but he’s in good spirits. He’s home and safe. Just keep a little prayer that he heals quickly.
September 13, 2009 at 12:57 pm
“Oh my” Hank, you just have the worst luck don’t you! “Poor guy! I hope you get better soon and I will pray for you and your friend! Take care buddy!
September 13, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Hank – you’re in my thoughts and prayers.
September 13, 2009 at 6:16 pm
Hank, I hope you get better quickly! Take care of yourself, Bub!
Saw the first episode of VD (your right, sm, that’s just wrong
) and got pretty much what I expected – Twilight on TV. I’ll probably give it a couple more eps, but I expect it’ll fall off my ‘I should see that’ list pretty quickly – I just can’t really relate to a teenage angst anymore.
Off to TB to get caught up. Have a great evening everyone!
September 13, 2009 at 10:58 pm
Hank hope you feel better…
I just got back from a weekend of camping, hikeing and so on – with the family – I love sleeping in a tent, making coffee over the open fire…. ahhhh it was GREAT.
Ok so what network in showing Vampire D???
September 14, 2009 at 10:52 am
Hi all,
Hank, hope your feeling better, Tweety, here in Iowa, is plays, Thursday nights on the CW at 7pm.
September 14, 2009 at 11:27 am
I have looked for CW what does it stand for?
September 14, 2009 at 3:46 pm
September 14, 2009 at 5:32 pm
Hey Tweety,
here, it just stands for the CW, My network tv. Damn! abc, what do they want, BLOOD!! Why is it that anything with Christina, Kyle, Gina, or Dylan never lasts? And I was really getting into it!Hank, I hope your hanging in there, Sending prayers your way! Hey, BTF, have fun out west, you have been missed a lot around here!
Love Mary
September 14, 2009 at 11:39 pm
Evening folks,
I think the writing was on the wall about DG.
September 15, 2009 at 7:26 am
Xrogue, since many of us aren’t able to ge CTV or Space would it be possible to give a brief summary of what happens after each episode airs? I’ve invested 8 weeks and it would be a shame not to know how the series ends. From what I could tell at the beginning of the series, it was never entended to be more than 12 episodes.
sm
September 15, 2009 at 10:18 am
Hey everyone,
Ditto, on what sm said, rogue!
September 15, 2009 at 12:49 pm
Even though it wasn’t expected (Patrick Swazye) it was still so sad. I just kept hoping he would beat the odds…..Rest in Peace Patrick.
If it continues to show in Canada there is a good chance we’ll be able to get it on iTunes or DVD eventually….damn networks, why can’t they back any show that isn’t reality crap….
September 15, 2009 at 5:12 pm
I feel bad too about Patrick Swazye, it seemed as though no one close to him ever had anything bad to say about him. He was too young. I’m very sad…
September 15, 2009 at 11:45 pm
Evening all,
Patrick Swazye’s passing is really sad – he seemed to be genuinely good guy.
September 16, 2009 at 6:23 am
Hi rogue,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop it is much appreciated!
Much love
Mary
September 16, 2009 at 3:38 pm
Thanks Xrogue. I’ve all but given up on TV.
Mary, best wishes for the beginning of the next term.
Hank here’s hoping your recovery is going smoothly.
Hi to everyone else that comes to this site.
September 17, 2009 at 6:02 am
September 17, 2009 at 10:51 am
Hey everyone!

September 18, 2009 at 12:20 am
sm,
I’m right there with you!
September 18, 2009 at 12:26 am
Evening all,
Good to hear from you Thea!
September 18, 2009 at 9:58 am
HI sweetie,
you can wait until next week if it will be better for you! also, just send me your livejournal addy and I will jump over there when you get it posted! Thank you again for this I know it will probably tire you out alot so it is greatly appreciated!
September 19, 2009 at 7:56 am
It’s ALIVE! – my son worked on computer and got it back! Yeah – X please give us the LiveJournal addy so we can keep up with your DG summaries – looking forward to it.
September 19, 2009 at 11:03 am
Morning folks,
Pokey & sm, my LJ address is distaffwarrior. livejournal. com (sorry that’s a bit hard to read, but I figured if I broke it up the post wouldn’t get stuck in moderation hell).
If you don’t hear from me by next Sunday, send out a search party – I may have been attacked by disgruntled cooking equipment
Have a great weekend!
September 19, 2009 at 11:39 am
“oh fair princess rogue,
I feel your pain and would come help you cook if I could! If the utensils get to visious, give Prince Henry a shout and he will gladly come and put them in their place! Have a great day!
September 20, 2009 at 11:39 pm
Evening all,
Hope you’ve had a good weekend.
September 21, 2009 at 4:15 pm
Hey Pokey,
Just reread my last post and it came off rather snarly. Wasn’t my intent at all! I generally try to keep a handle on my whininess, but sometimes it gets away from me and it’s good to have someone give the leash a yank every once in a while
Obviously I shouldn’t attempt humor (mine is questionable at the best of times), especially when I’m tired.
My most profound apologies and profuse grovelling will follow if needed.
September 21, 2009 at 7:28 pm
No apologies necessary sweetie! You didn’t come across as rude at all. Also, I know what its like to be running on fumes so I feel your pain. I have to write a one page essay as if I were on the Iowa legislature disussing the banning of cell phones in cars while they are in motion, from a historical pov. Also, I have to put together an annotated bibliography on an HR topic of the week. talk about pressure! Well, off for a break and to read some V/H smut! Thats what I live for, aren’t I sad? ha!
September 23, 2009 at 1:14 pm
September 24, 2009 at 11:08 am
Hiya Tweety!
September 25, 2009 at 8:05 am
Morning all,
Stopping in for a quick drive-by hi. Been stupid busy at work and at home the last few days and *sigh* there’s no end in sight. Hoping I’ll get a chance to get back on the weekend. Have a great day!
September 26, 2009 at 4:54 pm
Hi rogue,
What is relaxation anyway? I haven’t really seen it in a long time! I hope you can find it dear! take care hon!
September 27, 2009 at 4:10 pm
Relaxation is being semi-retired and no one having your phone number to ask you to volunteer! There are some advantages to being over 60 – one of them is I can be grumpy and get away with it!
Here’s hoping everyone has a good week.
Shout out to Hank – I hope you’re getting better!
September 27, 2009 at 10:06 pm
Evening all,
Finally found a few minutes to breathe this weekend.
What I wouldn’t give to be retired or semi retired
Read the new chapters of The Phone Call and ARCANES – they’re wonderful!
September 27, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Hi all,
Where is the phone call posted? I have read the first three chapters of Arcanes but didn’t see any phone call storie! Hi Hank! hope you are on the mend and feeling great again. Rogue, I finished the papers but haven’t gotten any grade or comments on them yet, I will keep you all posted! every one have a great week! Is the DG stuff up now? the last time I checked it still wasn’t I will go look talk to you soon! LOve, hugs, and kisses to all my family out there!
September 28, 2009 at 4:14 pm
September 28, 2009 at 11:54 pm
Evening all,
Oh, Sm, I just had a flashback of my mom canning and freezing almost all summer long.
September 29, 2009 at 12:33 am
Hello Everyone
Keep up the good work
September 29, 2009 at 10:07 am
Hi gals,and guy
Are you dancing yet Hank? feel better hon,
October 1, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Evening all,
Got through tonight’s chores faster than I expected. I thought I was going to have to hem a pair of pants for my dad, but ended up only patching a pair of shorts (thank God I made him try the pants on before I started whacking them off
) Seems like ages since I’ve been able to take my time and actually enjoy being online instead of being in a panic.
October 2, 2009 at 1:06 pm
Hi rogue,
take your time sweetie, I hope it get resurrected, I would love to spend my sunday evenings with DG and is it jut me or does anyone else believe Desperate Housewives has run its course? Thats one show I could never get into and will be glad when its done. Unless they get into desperate old wives! ha! apologes to anyone who likes this show no offense intended, just opinion! Well have great day everyone!
October 5, 2009 at 12:59 am
Hello everyone,
It’s very late on the east coast. Mary, I will be thinking about you on October 6th. You are in my thoughts and prayers right now. I know that your surgery will be fine.
On Wednesday October 7th, I will be celebrating my 40th birthday. It will be an awesome day.
October 5, 2009 at 8:06 am
Morning all,
Hope you had a good weekend!
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow, Pokey. I know you’ll come through it with flying colors. Hope Quinton has gotten his hands on BT Season 2 for you so you have something to drool over while you’re recovering
Got mine in the mail last Thursday, but have been to busy to crack it open yet. Next weekend is a long weekend, so I’m gonna do the BT film fest thing.
It’s a bit early, but happy birthday Vandy! I hope you have a fabulous day!
Well, I’ve got a long week ahead, so I’d better get a move on. Have a great day!
October 5, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Happy Birthday Vandy!
October 6, 2009 at 2:12 pm
October 6, 2009 at 6:30 pm
I got my Season 2 DVDs today from Amazon. Happy and a little sad. It’s like opening the last present knowing there won’t be anymore.
October 6, 2009 at 11:31 pm
Hey SM,
I know how you feel.
October 7, 2009 at 10:11 pm
Hello
Everyone,
I just got home from the hospital today, so I am getting in late, Anti, I couldn’t get my copy at Best Buy either they weren’t gonna have it until next week, so I found it at wal-mart by chance today for $20. I rented the Thaw and I will leave it up to your own gratification or not! I will say no more at this time about it. I have a busy week ahead for Hr management class so take care and I’ll be around off and on; looking forward to DG, and Hank still praying your on the mend!
October 9, 2009 at 8:09 am
Morning all,
Hope your healing up ok, Pokey, and that catching up on your school work isn’t wearing you out.
Hank, how’re you doing? I see you posted another chapter to your story on TB – it’s fabulous. Hope you’re not laid up too much longer!
Another busy day today and it’s also supposed to snow, so I’d better get a move on before traffic gets insane. Have a great day!
October 9, 2009 at 8:01 pm
Hey Rogue sweetie!
Love to all
Mary
October 10, 2009 at 4:29 pm
Arrrrrgh!!!
October 10, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Hi Thea hon,
Still recovering but doing well thank you. Where are those pics?
October 11, 2009 at 6:39 am
You can find most of the links on KSC. If you go to Gallery and click on the Ringcon photo there is a link there to morthond.de which has some good pics of Kyle on a panel sitting next to Craig Parker and looking as if they’re having a ball.
