I just finished going over to get preparation done for my tatoo, I am getting a cross with Bruce the brave engraved into it at an angle circling the cross. Thanks anyway guys, I will figure it out! Like I said, I received a C- for my midterm grade and thas pretty good considering I have done everything all by myself without a tutor. Its crazy, our school has tutors’ for the classes for medical assistants and nursing, math classses which now finally consist of stats as well; after a lot of us complained. but no tutor for Macroeconomics. Go figure, They will probably wait until I get through it and want me to do the tutoring ha!

I went to band practice tonight and found out the boys have their first gig on new years eve this year! I am so proud of them, and I know Bruce would have been estatic. I got my first professional tattoo today. Its a cross with a wrap around banner that says Bruce the Brave; as a tribute! Its on my upper right arm. Its looks so cool but is so sore!! “Ouch”

It’s kinda entertaining listening to everybody around here whining about the weather and the roads – I remember the entire winter being like this when I was a kid. Over the last 20 years our winters have really warmed up and we only get 2 or 3 really cold snaps during the season and they only last a week or so. So far this year it hasn’t been too bad and it’s only in the last couple weeks we’ve gotten snow and some serious cold (-20ish C or 4 below F).
You’ll have to come back in the spring or summer, Thea. I promise the weather is much better.

I don’t know if its got anything to do with the cabin fever over the past two days or just cause I am missing my Bruce so much! I feel so lost without him; It gets so hard sometimes not being able to hear his voice or his laugh, My Baby boy, I miss him desperately. “Oh, sorry” the tears are flowing again! I hope all of you are having a better day, and I hope that Hank is healing and feeling better.

Losing a child is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to try and endure; my bruce is so precious to me as I know you are to your mom. I appreciate the faith your mom has in my strength, but witout Quinton, Bruce’s brother or all of the people here I never would have found any strength. This is my first christmas without him and it is more painful that you can know; but thanks to all of you and my other family, I know I will make it through; so get ready for lots of tears and a mother going on about her son I will be doing that a lot and hope I don’t chase you away from the site! Thank you all so much for being here and I love you!!!

The bell ringer smiled and said, “Thank you! This makes my day.”
Mary, I’m sending you a big hug, hope you can feel it. I know that this is a really tough time for you right now. Please know that we are here for you and vent whenever you need to. I can’t say I know how you feel, because I don’t. But I can say that you have a lot of people who care about you and will be here to help you get through the rough spots (or any one of us that needs strength). We have found each other and will be there when needed.
Nice story sm1234 and a good reminder to do things for those we may not even know. I remember once when I lived in Idaho, it was freezing cold and there was a bellringer outside a store I was going to. On the way out I got a large cup of hot chocolate. And I left some money in the bucket and a smile on his face when I handed him the hot cup. One of the best Christmas I can remember.

I cannot express in words exactly what this means to me and you all will never realize just how much your presense helps me through a lot. I bought him a couple of stone markers for christmas and they both have beautiful sayings on them. The first one says, “Our hearts still ache with sadness, and secret tears still flow,” ” what it meant to lose you, no one can ever know” ! The 2nd, one say’s, “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again” !
Aren’t those beautiful! I will be in and out all day, so have a great day, and hug & kiss your kids even if they don’t want you too! we all know that they secretly love it!
This is weird, HOw are all of you today? I am ok, had an extreme moment last night, from out of nowhere a wave of grief hit and lasted for an hour. Quinton came over and helped me through it. I will be in and out today getting ready for family to show up over the next few days. Between christmas and Amber I’m about to fall over but I keep going.
While I’m thinking of it I have a question for Thea or LD. I know that the day after christmas is called Boxing day in England, what does that mean and what do you do on that day? I just wondered.
There are many explanations of why Boxing Day was called that, some are more outrageous than others. Boxing Day is also known as St Stephen’s Day and the tradition goes back at least to medieval times. Gifts to your social equals were given on Christmas Day or before. The day after was when gifts were bestowed on those less fortunate or those who had worked for you the rest of the year – possibly the origin of the Christmas Bonus. Lol.
It was also traditional to open the “Poor Boxes” in the Churches on Christmas Day and the contents distributed to the poor and needy the day after, hence Boxing Day.
These days it is an extra day’s holiday, but often the first day of the January Sales, so it’s a kind of holiday with shopping.
The tree is decorated. I love my London Christmas tree. All my ornaments are from London. I am a huge royal history buff. We sent 103 Christmas cards this year. First of all I love the snow effect. Especially since it isn’t falling on my lawn.
I like the idea of Boxing Day, or as it’s known here in the States…Take everything back to the mall and get what I really wanted day.
As a kid there were a few Christmas’s that would have been very sad if not for the kindness of Church members and/or friends.
This year is special because of all of you.
I agree BTF. There were some Christmas’s days that I had so much. Now, it is much harder,but I came through thanks to others. But I have others to thank. We all seem to have so much compaired to others, people who don’t have clean water, shelter. We should say a prayer for all who are trying to survive each day.
I made it home about an hour ago. I had a good time with my sisters, but it wasn’t like being home. I also missed my Bruce, It just wasn’t the same. Really glad to be home! How was everyones christmas? I will be in and out! love all of you and missed you even more.

Morning all. I’m trying to figure out what WordPress, who this blog is through, has done. They changed the page where I go to put up posts and release comments. Now I don’t know where anything is!! Good thing I started a new page huh?
I’ll be out Christmas shopping today so I’ll be gone most of the day. Make sure you check out the new video, under this post. It’s very good.
And what I’m writing now is not fanfic, I’m doing like BTF and some others and working on a book! I got a idea about two vampire clans fighting each other. I’m still working out the details and I hope my writing partner LLN will do it with me. We make a pretty good team.
I’ll keep peeking in until I leave. And cussing WP for changing stuff on me!

I just finished going over to get preparation done for my tatoo, I am getting a cross with Bruce the brave engraved into it at an angle circling the cross. When I get it done I will have my son take a picture of it and I will send it to chrissy and have her post it. Hey Raven, Thanks for all the little antidotes you sent! I loved them all. and you too! Chrissy, you did a fangtastic and fabulous job on this new page. I love it. Our BT villians are so awesome and so cool. Marty, you are in my thoughts and prayers right now. Mary, you go girlfriend on that tatoo. That design sounds great. Dad and I went to dinner on Wednesday night. The food is always delicious. Thursday night, I was getting packages ready to be mail on Friday. Yes, I sent my three packages at the Post Office. The post office was ok today.

Hi Folks,
I’ve had a strangely productive day – got the house cleaned, crammed for my exam and have dinner pretty much done. I actually feel justified sitting down to watch BT (there is an upside to living in Canada sometimes).

Thanks anyway guys, I will figure it out! Like I said, I received a C- for my midterm grade and thas pretty good considering I have done everything all by myself without a tutor. Its crazy, our school has tutors’ for the classes for medical assistants and nursing, math classses which now finally consist of stats as well; after a lot of us complained. but no tutor for Macroeconomics. Go figure, They will probably wait until I get through it and want me to do the tutoring ha!

Hi,
I went to band practice tonight and found out the boys have their first gig on new years eve this year! I am so proud of them, and I know Bruce would have been estatic. I got my first professional tattoo today. Its a cross with a wrap around banner that says Bruce the Brave; as a tribute! Its on my upper right arm. Its looks so cool but is so sore!! “Ouch”

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Not doing much as far as celebrating, hubby went back to Lynchburg and son had to work so Dad and I are just watching football and looking at the tree. Got it today and have lights on it but no bulbs yet, will do that tomorrow.
Would never be brave enough to get a tatoo, I hate needles too much but yours sounds really nice Mary, and special too. Hope it heals soon and that you can send a picture of it.
Hubby has decided to go ahead and look for a house and not wait for this one to sell first. He hates living on his own during the week. I’m secretly glad too. So after Christmas we are going to go down and do some house hunting.

Stay home and warm, Pokey! Hopefully your storm won’t be too bad or too long. We’ve had about 6 inches of snow in the last week and driving is now officially insane – my 35 minute drive to work is now a crawl of an hour and a half or more *ARGH!!!*

Rogue – didn’t know you live Calgary way. That’s the only place in the Americas I’ve actually been to. My Company sent me there for 2 weeks – they had to send me in February though! What a shock to the system for an English Rose…..lol

. You were probably here the one week a year that it’s 40 below, weren’t you.
It’s kinda entertaining listening to everybody around here whining about the weather and the roads – I remember the entire winter being like this when I was a kid. Over the last 20 years our winters have really warmed up and we only get 2 or 3 really cold snaps during the season and they only last a week or so. So far this year it hasn’t been too bad and it’s only in the last couple weeks we’ve gotten snow and some serious cold (-20ish C or 4 below F).
You’ll have to come back in the spring or summer, Thea. I promise the weather is much better.

The couple of weeks I was there it didn’t get above -20C. On the plus side though, we went up to Banff and to Lake Louise and it was really beautiful. I will have to come back in the spring or summer, just for the contrast.

I don’t know if its got anything to do with the cabin fever over the past two days or just cause I am missing my Bruce so much! I feel so lost without him; It gets so hard sometimes not being able to hear his voice or his laugh, My Baby boy, I miss him desperately. “Oh, sorry” the tears are flowing again! I hope all of you are having a better day, and I hope that Hank is healing and feeling better.

LD, I love your mom just as much as I love my Biological sisters and I only wish you could know the happiness and gratitude that everyone here has brought me since we have gotten to know one another. Losing a child is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to try and endure; my bruce is so precious to me as I know you are to your mom. I appreciate the faith your mom has in my strength, but witout Quinton, Bruce’s brother or all of the people here I never would have found any strength. This is my first christmas without him and it is more painful that you can know; but thanks to all of you and my other family, I know I will make it through; so get ready for lots of tears and a mother going on about her son I will be doing that a lot and hope I don’t chase you away from the site! Thank you all so much for being here and I love you!!!

A true story:
Picture a sad store Santa standing to the side wishing people “Merry Christmas” and no one paying attention. Nice story sm1234 and a good reminder to do things for those we may not even know. I remember once when I lived in Idaho, it was freezing cold and there was a bellringer outside a store I was going to. On the way out I got a large cup of hot chocolate. And I left some money in the bucket and a smile on his face when I handed him the hot cup. One of the best Christmas I can remember.

Thank you Marty, and everyone else for your strength and love. I cannot express in words exactly what this means to me and you all will never realize just how much your presense helps me through a lot. I bought him a couple of stone markers for christmas and they both have beautiful sayings on them. The first one says, “Our hearts still ache with sadness, and secret tears still flow,” ” what it meant to lose you, no one can ever know” ! The 2nd, one say’s, “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again” !

“WOW”
This is weird, HOw are all of you today? I am ok, had an extreme moment last night, from out of nowhere a wave of grief hit and lasted for an hour. Quinton came over and helped me through it. It helped me sleep better last night though so I guess one good thing came out of it! ha! I have a class today from 1-3; so I will be gone for a while today. I hope it shapes up to be a great day for all of you! Love you!

Morning all. Pokey I know this is a bad time for you. The firsts always are, the first christmas, first birthay without your Bruce. Just think of all of us giving you a big hug, because we are. We are here to help in anyway we can.
I will be in and out today getting ready for family to show up over the next few days. Between christmas and Amber I’m about to fall over but I keep going.
While I’m thinking of it I have a question for Thea or LD. I know that the day after christmas is called Boxing day in England, what does that mean and what do you do on that day? I just wondered.

There are many explanations of why Boxing Day was called that, some are more outrageous than others. Boxing Day is also known as St Stephen’s Day and the tradition goes back at least to medieval times. Gifts to your social equals were given on Christmas Day or before. The day after was when gifts were bestowed on those less fortunate or those who had worked for you the rest of the year – possibly the origin of the Christmas Bonus. Lol.
It was also traditional to open the “Poor Boxes” in the Churches on Christmas Day and the contents distributed to the poor and needy the day after, hence Boxing Day.
These days it is an extra day’s holiday, but often the first day of the January Sales, so it’s a kind of holiday with shopping.

The tree is decorated. I love my London Christmas tree. All my ornaments are from London. I am a huge royal history buff. We sent 103 Christmas cards this year. I can’t believe it that we sent that many greeting cards to everyone on our list. Mary , I am always here for you. Triple hugs and kisses to everyone. Good night all and take care. First of all I love the snow effect. Especially since it isn’t falling on my lawn.
I like the idea of Boxing Day, or as it’s known here in the States…Take everything back to the mall and get what I really wanted day.
As a kid there were a few Christmas’s that would have been very sad if not for the kindness of Church members and/or friends.
This year is special because of all of you.

I agree BTF. There were some Christmas’s days that I had so much. Now, it is much harder,but I came through thanks to others. But I have others to thank. We all seem to have so much compaired to others, people who don’t have clean water, shelter. We should say a prayer for all who are trying to survive each day.

I made it home about an hour ago. I had a good time with my sisters, but it wasn’t like being home. I also missed my Bruce, It just wasn’t the same. Really glad to be home! How was everyones christmas? I will be in and out! love all of you and missed you even more.

Thanks Xrogue, I hope you can get your work done without much stress! I have been trying to get things back to normal. Quinton had to work today but I don’t go back to class until Jan 5, which is cool in a way but I am anxious to get it over with! hope you all are having a great day and got lots of great presents for christmas. (Including our very own Henry munder the tree) Thanks to C, I got a personal Henry all wrapped up in a package.He’s hanging on my living room wall.

Glad to see that christmas hasn’t worn you out totally” ha! I feel the exact same way; I love all of you so much and would be lost without you! this past year as you know, has been the hardest one of my life, and having you all here to lean on has helped to soften the blow. I am so thankful to all of you for the tremendous love and support you have and continue to give! You all have been cemented in my heart forever and will always remain most of the dearest,loving friends I will ever have the pleasure to know and call family! I love you all!

Morning all. Sorry I haven’t been around. I think I just got all the kids christmas out of boxes and put in the right places. I think, I could be wrong. They got way too much stuff and I’m worn out from family visits. Most are headed back home and now I can sit and relax for a bit. Because This post is so far down the page I’ll put up a new one later today. I think I’ll pick a oldie but a goodie (wondering which picture I’m going to use aren’t you?) I’ll peek in later.
